In MH the 2/10 used to be frigate arenas, everything from solo fights to 2v2's to full on fleet fights with small frig gangs. CCP removed that and with it, the pvp frig community out of low. So then we would still get a few people coming into low looking for fights, CCP adds high sec duels. So that ended, no need to go to low to get a fight or a duel anymore.

Ganking is just what us pirates do after CCP removes the working forms of PvP that existed. Low is now empty except for plex runners, so if you live in low and only want good fights, there is nothing to do but gank. Until CCP has a glitch that screws up the dps, which is why I am posting. Lots of people are interested in solo pvp.

I know being a risk averse, no skill pilot, and having to fleet up to get a kill is popular, and watching 8000 people lag out seems like it would be fun, oh wait, no it doesn't. (see TEST versus CFC fight) but there are still some good solo pilots. Few and far between, and pretty much gone from the game by now with all of CCP's terrible mistakes, and more were lost when CCP ignored the 300 people posting in a thread BEGGING and PLEADING not to remove the 2/10's because it would kill frigate low sec pvp...And they were right, Low is now completely empty, and a ton of good pilots unsubscribed. They have been ignoring low sec since launch as the older guys tell me.

So my options are to join some big no skill blob corp. or go do missions, while that may be ok for the people that aren't any good at winning fights, it doesn't work for me, or the other shrinking group of guys just looking for good fights that CCP regularly ignores. So after being screwed over and ignored by CCP, their inability to release a working product (the working product would be the right dps on a ship if you have fallen behind on the convo) is getting old now. Why pay a game designer who doesn't listen, and is more interested in catering to the throngs of people in high sec who are scared to PvP and sit in mining barges, or outside of the noob stations dueling 3 day old characters posting about "real" pvp.

So I never actually said ganking is PvP, but as we have already determined, this IS the public forums, and while I understand it is chock full of idiots and trolls, I thought I might try to get some help anyway. Lesson learned.

I don't think you have been playing the same game as the rest of us, I never have trouble finding a fight in low sec. I'm not sure why you need a DED plex to find fights, what is wrong with the FW plexes?

Well if you want to fight button farmers because they are afk and didn't get a chance to warp off, that is your thing, I am trying to find pilots that are greatly superior in skills and knowledge to fight so I can get better. Not going to repost all the things that were already explained. Besides no one posting is here to do anything but prove how crap they can be to everyone else, so no one is going to discuss it for real. People are way more comfortable making what they think are clever troll posts.

Anyway thanks for the responses, I'm still laughing about the FW IS PvP thing, pretty great, thanks for the giggles =)

So in 8 days my paid time runs out, and I hope they do something about fixing the problem. But before that happens, since I used to love this game and have been holding out hope that CCP will stop being horribly incompetent and clueless about low sec, I was going to ask if any players know about this?

CCP isn't going to help me, maybe the community will.

Anyone know why gank cata's are missing 100dps?

The GM's told me a cache clear wouldn't delete anything in the first place, of course it did.

So, does anyone know how to get your settings back after a cache clear?

Imma be honest, I took your 100 DPS when you weren't looking and added it to my gank Coercer. It is now pimp, and I fly it around empty lowsecks where PvP never happens, admiring it.

I was gonna come back and steal your dignity too, but damn you, you went and got rid of it before I had the chance :(

Seriously though, your question has been answered, like, four times. And no, I don't want your stuff, but I am keeping your 100 DPS.

EVEHQ - it has a backup settings button that'll back that stuff up, and restore it, with a quick set of clicks.

I'll give you some free advice, and i'll even write it in large easy to read letters.

BACKUP BEFORE DELETING

The cata is unchanged, i have 600 dps standard, 700 overloaded with T2 ammo, and it ganks just fine.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

To respond to the trolls: If I buy a game to do PvP and then the designers take the ability to do PvP out of the game, then it seems obvious to me to stop paying for services they no longer offer, kind of a no brainer. So I guess NOW it is an "I quit EvE" thread, so do your thing, enjoy =)
WEll I don;t believe for a second that your DPS has mysteriously changed while everyone else is normal. Either something has changed about your fit, somethign has changed about your skills (did you lose a pod with not insufficient SP?) or you are loading thw rong ammo.

Have you considered posting:
a) A screenshot of your fitting window
b) The fit of your ship
c) The DPS you expect to see

Without those three things all I can tell you is that bugs like this that affect a single persons DPS are unheard of. I'm far more likely to believe CCP when they say "user error" than a random on the forum. Sorry bud.

EDIT: Oh by the way. when you say you deleted your cache, do you mean you went into the folder and deleted it or you used the handy buttons in the client.
The buttons are what you should do and they shouldn't reset all your settings unless you click the one that does specifically that.
