Where is the best place a new pilot to null sec should move?

Would Curse be good? And should I consider joining a player-owned corp if I am moving to null sec? Last question, whats the difference in Null Sec and WH space?

These are the things I heard about Null sec:

*Players get a bunch of isk mining, or ratting
*No security status drop when engaging pilots
*Its more fun than high sec.
*Ratting gives you more security status in null sec

Worm Hole space:
*Sleepers give you alot of good money
*Somewhat safe to mine in

I'd look to join a corp or alliance. Don't try to move into null-sec by yourself.

It's nice having friends around that can give tips, answer the questions you've posted, and help bring in all of your things from high sec.

Thank you for that. I have just posted an advertisement of what I am looking for in a Low sec or Null sec corp. Any others?

Two things, like that dude said, do not go by yourself.

Second, worm holes are never safe for anything. If you expect to be even 'somewhat' safe mining in a wormhole, fiery death is just a matter of time. If anything, mining in wormholes is pretty stressful, even if it is very profitable.

Good advice, I'll start with Null Sec and go into wormholes with the corp I am thinking about joining.

We are recruiting. Check my sig. We live in NPC null. Join RAF-E Public in game if your interested and we can chat a bit! See if we fit or not :D

Wormholes and Null sec.

Wormhole - No Local, No stations, fairly empty, limited capitals.
Null sec - Local, unlimited capitals/Black ops teams, Empty until its not empty, More targets.

I think your making the right choice by joining a corp and day tripping into wormhole. (or maybe longer then a day trip, but its a solid plan)

These guys covered the rest.
We are recruiting! PvP in NPC 0.0, and Gallente low sec! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=281323

Wormholes are awesome, do not let these Null sec people scare you away from them. Glory to bob!

Good news is upon you OP.

With the coming of Rubicon, you will be able to move to Null solo.

Just so long as you only ever fly interceptors you will be fine! Personally I'm looking forward to more Taranis time. Blink

I recommend you apply to to CVA, or any of the other alliances in Providence. They are all very friendly to newer players, and it;s a good place to start out in Null-sec.

In wormhole you can own single system.

In nullsec you either own all the systems or is constantly jumped by supers.

It does not matter where in EVE you live. What matters is that you are happy with your eve-family (corporation)

I went into null on my week 2 of eve. Back then it was hard but I made it work by running menial tasks like hauling, moving ships for others and lighting cynos. For pvp I flew scout and tackle roles.

Nowadays you get friends for doing above and you get isk for salvaging the stuff those friends leave in anoms. A ton of isk at that.

This. The Provi block is swarmed by nullbears, and it's a wonderful place to start dipping your toes into nullsec. Not my cup of tea, personally, since I've grown to despise NRDS stances, but that may exactly be the reason why you'll like it.

Good luck-

Early on, Salvaging is pretty much the major activity in null for a low-SP character. To the poster above, why do you despise NRDS? What is toxic about it?

How is mining in a WH stressful? You put eyes on the holes, you mine with boosts in perfect safety.

Edit: Sorry to detract from the main topic.

Nullsec is basically a place for carebears to group together and blob targets. This is what nullbears call PvP. You can mine, and rat in just about perfect safety if you are in a Sov holding alliance as they usually have everyone in a 50 jump radius blued up. You have intel channels that let you know as soon as someone slips into a system, and you usually have 30 people sitting on bottle neck gates waiting to pop the unsuspecting "carebears" that happen by.

Now, in all honesty WH's are the most dangerous place to play in Eve. There is no local chat so you do NOT know who, or what is in your system. It has the same rules as Nullsec (can use bombs, bubbles, etc). You have to live out of a POS. Living out of a POS is probably one of the worst things about WH's as the logistics to move anything into, and out of it are a huge pain. The higher class the system you go, the higher the pain the butt it is to move things. You have to probe out exits, anoms, etc, which requires you to actually train, and use probe skills. You will use them daily. They are usually required to even get accepted into a WH corp.

That being said WH's are FUN. The people you play with are usually a higher caliber player than the people you will group with in nullsec as they actually have to use tactics to fight instead of just numbers.

Lowsec is also fun. I like to think of it as a stepping stone into becoming a better Eve player. You get PvP, PvE, and all that good stuff.

The summary of all this would then be: "I like lowsec, I like WH space, I like WH space more, and I don't like nullsec."

I started out in Provi-bloc too. What you will also find in Providence is plentiful opportunities to learn PvP.

Provi is a terrible place to start your null experience in. They are NRDS ( Not Red Don't Shoot). if you bump into someone while out, you will need to check the KOS checker, make sure if he can or can not be shot at before you shoot them. It takes time, and you could be half dead before you get it all figured out.
Other areas of null are NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It) no thought involved.. shoot whomever is not blue.
