Hello All,

I have not seen many fittings of a Buffer Tank Micro Jump Drive Abaddon Sniper in L4 Missions, and I would like to throw the idea out for feedback of how practical such a fit would be in running l4's.

All constructive feedback is welcome.

Don't really need a buffer with MJD, distance is your buffer, two mission specific hardeners and a LAR II are all you really need, if even that.

I believe this fit will have a better tank, and dps output then a Apoc

Abaddon Fit:

High:

8 Tach II

Med:

Sebo
LMJD
TC
Cap Booster

Low

DC
LAR II
2 Mission Spec Hardeners
3 HS

Rigs

3 x CCC

This looks like a really good fit, unfortunately I tried it on EFT, unless I'm missing something it doesn't actually work. The fit is way over on both CPU and PG with all lvl 5 skills and implants.

Overtanked and too few range mods. Replace cap booster with TC and a hardener or damage control with TE. Run optimal scripts in TC.

Then check if same fit on apoc reaches 50-100km optimal with more dps using better crystals. It very likely does.

You may want to find a diferent name for it though, Buffer Tank Micro Jump Drive Abaddon Sniper is not a name which rolls off the tongue.

Can you fly a Nightmare, if so, try this. Otherwise, try the fit changes "The Spod" threw out there for you.

[Nightmare, MJD Sniper]
1x Damage Control II
4x Imperial Navy Heat Sink

1x Large Micro Jump Drive
1x EM Ward Field II
1x Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
1x Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Script
1x Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution Script
1x Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
1x Large Shield Extender II

4x Tachyon Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L
1x [empty high slot]
1x Auto Targeting System II

1x Large Energy Metastasis Adjuster II
1x Large Energy Locus Coordinator II
1x Large Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I

With my skills -- (I fly a perfect nightmare)
- Range w/ ImpNvy MF is 45 + 32 fall off
- Range w/ ImpNvy Xray is 67 + 32 fall off

Cap lasts ~9 minutes w/ Xray (~6m w/ MF) -- no worries here since w/ a Lvl 4 mission your tank is your dps.

Group your guns in 2 groups of 2 (Abaddon, 2 groups of 4).

Pop your frigs / cruisers at extreme range - most frigs will die in 1 shot, a few 2 - about as fast as you can target them.

This Nightmare DPS, for me is ~ 5335 volley and 799 dps.

Drones to suit your taste (Warrier II's / Hobgoblin II's).

No implants. No boosters.

For missions, really, you need to have some form of defense regeneration, either onboard or from a logistics wingman. The Abaddon's an armor boat, so it can't passively regenerate; if you rely on armor, you're going to have to manually repair it one way or another. For solo work, that means an armor rep and resistance boosts.

And to echo what's been said above: if you want to fly an Amarr sniper, the Apocalypse is the better bet, because of its range and tracking bonuses. It has more capacitor and regenerates cap faster, which means better endurance.

In any case, neither ship will be able to fit a full rack of T2 tachyons without some sort of powergrid boost - and that's before you add the MJD and the armor rep you're going to need.
