Knew there was a reason why I am only training missiles up to the new patch :) but ye, T2 large turrets before were what... well over 60 days to train?

on a flat remap looks like it is about 90 with the support skills. However one does not need battleships or Oracles to PVP. Some of my best times in PVP was with AF's with T2 Small turrets which are much easier to train for.

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

Poor t-rex. Supposedly, they really struggle with hills. Cry

Don't even get me started on their problems operating the ship's controls. Those tiny arms are just ridiculous!

I suppose that's why they have to settle for F-14s.

The skills have not been removed, nor been made useless, as such there won't be any SP refund.
It is also rather silly to ask for one. Quite pointless in fact. P

Not much use for them in the captain's quarters either. :-(

I hate to sign on with the whiners....

Am I losing total SP?

I don't see any other way they can lower the skill training time

If I'm losing SP I do want a refund.

when they removed learning skills it didn't ultimately "Change" anything, but we spent time investing in those skills and that time could have been spent elsewhere.

It's not like they haven't already made a precedent on this... Ugh
If you take away SP, you refund them so people that could have used them elsewhere can use them elsewhere. How does that not makes sense?

Do the total amount of SP in the skills change?

Found the link on the last page.

Only the REQUIREMENTS for some skills have changed?

NO, people shouldn't get refunds for that. I have to agree

No. The only thing that changes is that, had you wanted to, you could have trained for Large T2 turrets before you trained for Small T2 turrets (or you could have skipped small T2 entirely).

But your abilities and skills and SP remain exactly the same, and anyone who wants to have the same abilities as you have will still have to put the same amount of training time and SP into the same skills — only potentially in a different order than you did.

Nor are they useful for aerobatics...

That's it: T-Rex arms need to be buffed!

Implementing stuff like this is simply not fair to the people who have (and there are many) who have spent a lot of time training these gunnery skills. I know similar things have been done in the past, but we are talking on a much larger scale here, MUCH larger.

This is useless to me because I have trained everything in gunnery and a bit of a **** take tbh

Or you could just take this opportunity to train those skills on another character and enjoy the time savings. DUH. Roll

I, for one, can't see any point in whiging abuot the changes. Yeah, I've thrown a lot of time down a *potential* rat-hole, training lesser turrets, but yanno? It's not like I'm not using those skills. Sure, I don't fly frigates or cruisers every day, but when I *do,* I surely don't regret those well-polished small-turret skills!

A SP refund alone will not do as I trained many of these skills years ago.

I demand a SP refund with interest. I think 7.5% interest/month would be fair but I am open to negotiations on the exact number.

I want also a refund on all my ships lost because it wasn't a fair fight and I was noobish back then. As well a refund on skill points for training Caldari!! I knew I should've of gone with the hooded people!!!!

Totally called it.
As someone who bit the bullet and trained these skills anyway, I still think it's awesome they're going through with this.
I have no regrets whatsoever about training the skills I had to train to get to where I am now.

And yes, it's totally fair.

Why? Because you can use the smaller T2 turrets, having trained for the larger ones. It'll take just as long to train all of them to the same levels as you and I have them, it'll just be faster to train for the T2 turret type and size that you want.

And considering how medium turrets have been made awesome, it's a good thing we can use them.

About damn time... Those of us with an army of alts cringe at T2 gun training.
