OMG HE'S TRUE!

Thank you so much for being the first ever to bring this up!
I am sure CCP feels deeply embarrassed for not noticing the THOUSANDS of miners getting harrassed all day!

Seriously, how is this even possible?????????

Going to call wishful thinking on that on, there. Really, the entitlement generation's half assed attempts at psychology are rather amusing.

I enjoy inflicting damage on others in a video game. I am a career griefer, I have been since UO. In particular, I find that people's, shall we say explosive reaction to losing at a video game, literally anger over pixels, to be completely hilarious. I don't call up Nintendo and scream at them when Mario plunges into a bottomless crevasse for the umpteenth time. Because, hey, that's the game. EVE is a game about blowing up spaceships.

It's the false expectations of the game that cause this, and those are rooted in pride and self aggrandizement. No, your ship can be still blown up in highsec, you aren't a special little snowflake, you certainly are not immune to the actions of other people in an MMORPG, and yes, Mario can fall in the bottomless pit.
Nobody is saying you in particular follow this pattern, but it's not something you can simply brush off as bullshit overall. Read about the history of many serial killers and you'll easily see that a history of abuse is a common theme.

You may enjoy it and you may very well be a perfectly normal and balanced individual. Personally I'd look into why you enjoy it, and why you enjoy then rubbing it in peoples faces. It's not uncommon for people to be competitive, but if you are the type of guy that crossed the finish line first then spins around and starts yelling "In your face, losers!" then you aren't very sporting, you're a ****. {edit: That got censored? It's not even that bad!}

The whole "entitlement" thing is overused nonsense. Nobody here has stated they are entitled to anything. Arguably, you are acting more entitled, stating you can play the game however you want with no regard for anyone else.
What makes it even more hilarious is that I at no point have stated that I disagree with anything the miner bumpers are doing. As long as they don't breach the EULA rules clearly laid out by CCP, they are free to do what they want and the "victim" needs to look at his approach.

One final point, if you are content with the way you act, why do you feel the need to hide behind the anonymity of not posting with your main? I know, I know, free speech and all that, but if you lack the conviction to stand by your words, what's the point in expressing them?

Yup. Makes posting about Philip K. ****'s work a little difficult indeed.

Out of context quoting FTW.
I'm sure with some of them, yes, that's the case (not being bumped IRL lol, but taking out their frustrations).
As the context of the original post states, people that generally cause grief in games with the grief being the primary motivator will more often than not be people that are frustrated or depressed in real life. Whether that affects the new order guys is not for me to say. Some may be doing it for a sense of community, some may be easily led, some may do it for profit, some may do it just for the hell of it, or the fun of seeing spaceships explode. Some are likely though to be doing it because they get kicks out of knowing they are upsetting someone else. In those cases, it's more likely to be someone that is venting their personal problems in an anonymous way where they feel superior.

Oh, but I can. Hang out with these guys' communities for a while. None of them fit the profile. So either we all are a massive bunch of outliers, or the profile is bullshit.

I know, the blocker on this site is bullshit. :P

And yes, I do enjoy it, but I think you are misconstruing my position. I don't start out the game to spin around at the finish line and start yelling "losers!". I do, however, set into the people who try to tell me "you cheated!" or "that doesn't count", or "you should have to run with leg weights on". Those people, I will torment happily, because their attitude is all wrong.

If I am roaming around, and I kill you, oh well, gf in local. That's the game. But if you start spouting off about cloaks, or sebos, or ganking, or whatever, then yeah, I make it an issue. That's you telling me that I should be hobbled because you are stupid.

And that's the difference.

O...k? I wasn't directing anything I said at you. Just making my point on the thread. And my point is, the only people who are acting entitled are not the people who just want to play the game. It's the people who want the game to change based on their inability to play the game properly as it currently exists, that have an entitlement problem.

Well, first of all, my sig generates fairly steady tears in my inbox every week. For some reason people take it personally offensive, which both baffles and amuses me.

Secondly, because I feel like it. I stand behind my words as I say them, me, the person behind this keyboard, not whichever avatar I click on when I log into my account. I never really posted before this, either. As far as the forums go, this is my main.

All that, and my "main", as it were, was in an alliance that is by now widely historically despised, and I have little use for posting with a character like that.

Well no, not really. I never said "miner bumpers are headcases". I simply said that people that tend to cyberbully are more often people that are bullied or abused. It really depends on whether what the individual is doing is at the level of bullying. Bumping someone or awoxing someone isn't what I would consider it. following someone around basking in someone tears, pushing them further every time you realise they are upset is. I've probably only seen a couple of people like that on these forums so far. My original comment was that if the person that the OP was talking was a bully (as the op stated, I did not make this assessment) that there were more chances of him being fat than a slim, as cyber bullies are often victims of bullying. You seem to have taken this to mean that all members of new order must be abused and bullied and venting their frustrations, which is not how it was intended.

I post with my main, whatever that means since I have 3 accounts and 6 characters some of them pure as the driven snow and some terrible gankers and awoxers. I have different chars because there are many different valid play styles in this game. Heck, I have a char that mined all the minerals for her first Orca on the same account as my -10 ganker. She didn't even have a permit (although this char does) because *Procurer*.

Labeling players "cyber bullies" for engaging in game play within the rules of the game everyone voluntarily decided to play is completely illegitimate. Some players can tread into cyber bullying waters such as when they start typing racial, sexual, and religious slurs or death threats in local. Tracking down and harrasing people IRL would be wrong as well. Those players be they gankers, miners, or anyone else should be petitioned. But depriving someone of spaceship and isk by hook or crook is valid game play within the rules of the game.

Those terrible terrible gankers, are some of tthe nicest people I've met in game. Willing to help a newbro get started in the life, willing to help an old bro get started in a new life. I've seen these terrible meanies give hundreds of millions of isk to a bro who needed to buy cats to gank with. I've listened to a big mean awoxer laugh when I accidentally reped his target instead of him on my first day as llogi. Same guy also gave me 100mil as my split at the end of tthe night even though he very nearly lost the ship. The New Order will take even the greenest pilot into the fold and train them up with no XP requirements and no expectation they will stay on beyond the next gank.

They're just people playing a competitive game. Your attempts to demonize them are more based on a victim mentally on your part than any real world psychosis on theirs.

Yeah don't fall for the new order crap, it's nothing but a scam!

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

Yes of course an Alt.

Sorry to see it has devolved into this. There is so much to do on a positive/cooperative venture.
Not a direction I wanted to see it go – turned into a scam run by a bunch of players who have no real experience with the game other than their short sited evil and gratification of their desire to feel somehow powerful. Because they are a bunch of 97 lb weaklings in RL. With no real strength of character other than that they can impose in a totally anonymous Internet game.

It is easy to be evil and destructive in this game. What the real challenge is – to work with others toward a common goal – put yourself into it, grow some balls and work for your survival. You may actually enjoy your gains.

GIBBS – Smack to the back of the head – it is a wake up call :)

Just ignore them. They seek attention. You're giving them it with this thread. Don't pay them isk, don't pay them any attention. If they do blow you up, which is unlikely, say nothing, go get another ship, add them to contacts (the whole alliance / corp) and continue on with your business.

Those miner bumpers need to get some skills. I dAre them to come out to null where I mine and try their crap. They are all no skill bums.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

The New Order is one of the most inclusive groups in eve. They even took a carebear like me. All you need to do to join is show an interest and allow yourself to have some fun. We're like highsec's Gom Jabbar, we're looking for players through ganking and meta gameplay.

Give us a try.

True, hadn't thought of that. My hatred for them is strictly RP. They had a great idea and ran with it.

See, now we are getting into murkier territory.

I reject the concept of "cyber bullying" in it's entirety. By it's very nature, the internet is an entirely voluntary participatory media. It's not like you HAVE to log on and post on facebook, or play EVE, or whatever else you choose to do.

You have to go to school. In most cases anyway, I personally was homeschooled.

But the internet, and by extension almost any activity undertaken on it, is voluntary. Consent to the medium is given by the very nature of logging in. It's like buying a ticket for a museum devoted to a subject you know you don't like. In such a case, you are offending yourself.

If you have had enough of EVE, you just log off. If you are sick of feeders in League of Legends, you just log off. If people are bugging you on facebook, you block them. On the internet, you have all the power. But that's apparently not enough for some people.
