Sure 10 million isk is not all that much to pay – yet you must display your New Order ID number in your bio (Badge of Shame) for them to leave you alone.

No matter how eloquent their verbiage and solidly based on what they can get away with, following current game mechanics, it is still bullying and intimidation of the populous of the EVE community.

Seeing how on line bullying is a major subject of disdain within the entire Internet Community, maybe CCP needs to take a look at this.

I am sure that I am not their first “Customer – forced to wear their badge of SHAME in my bio to prevent then from further intimidation.” and strengthen their community influence.
Just ignore them. They pester around in like 3 systems and they are losing members left right and center to groups that actually matter.
Just move when they repeatedly bump you, and if they keep following you, report them for harassment (CCP have been very clear, they are allowed to bump you, but they are not allowed to keep following you to new systems to harass you).
Don't pay them and don't put their name in your bio. In fact, don't even talk about them. The only way groups like this are broken down is through obscurity. Don't help advertise them.

I think it's working wrong though. Statistically speaking, someone that purposely griefs in games is more likely to be on the large side and a victim of bullying in real life. It's a way to escape the reality of their situation by mimicking the people that upset them in a place they feel they have power.

No. It's still just an extortion racket against a very tiny part of the community. You were right the first time — don't try to confuse two unrelated things because then you'll just end up confusing yourself and will miss the very obvious reasons why this is not only allowed, but actively encouraged.

They do their best to hurt mining bots as well as people that behave like bots. The general theory is that the reason some people bully online is that it provides them a level of power they can't get elsewhere. The "revenge of the nerd".
I remember reading somewhere though a psychologist breakdown of a number of cases, where the perpetrator of the bullying was either bullied or abused in their real life, and that contributed to their need to express superiority. In a game dominated by males, who like internet spaceships, it's not a hard push to imagine what type of people get off on pure tear generation.
The "large side" comment is a semi-humorous antithesis of the original comment, based in part on the fact that "bigger" people tend to be bullied for that very reason.

CFC has a renter alliance up that you may want to join, where you wont be wearing any badges , wont get bullied by the locals because they all share your world views and will have a mighty coalition that will sooner or later avenge your venture should you somehow endup in serious trouble.

Yeah, it's gotta be me acting out on my own personal issues to feel better by lashing out. Which is, by odd coincedence, the exact same thing that would be the kind of balm for the "victims" to lick the wounds of their losses with.

Going to call wishful thinking on that on, there. Really, the entitlement generation's half assed attempts at psychology are rather amusing.

I enjoy inflicting damage on others in a video game. I am a career griefer, I have been since UO. In particular, I find that people's, shall we say explosive reaction to losing at a video game, literally anger over pixels, to be completely hilarious. I don't call up Nintendo and scream at them when Mario plunges into a bottomless crevasse for the umpteenth time. Because, hey, that's the game. EVE is a game about blowing up spaceships.

It's the false expectations of the game that cause this, and those are rooted in pride and self aggrandizement. No, your ship can be still blown up in highsec, you aren't a special little snowflake, you certainly are not immune to the actions of other people in an MMORPG, and yes, Mario can fall in the bottomless pit.
