Can CCP give the option to switch clouds off. I cant see really any reason to have them, except of the fact that it is causing problems to graphic cards.

When I asked CCP support i get this answer:

There is no option to switch off the clouds. The only workaround for the time being is to keep the camera aimed away from the clouds.

So im asking, when hacking gas site, when in loot will be the skillbook for 250m isk and i will zoom it off, how to catch that minican?

Is it so complicated to give the option to switch clouds off? i never saw anyone happy to have them in game ...

+1
Clouds seem to use up an unusually high level of resources and add almost nothing to the game experience. In fact if I'm dual boxed or running on my laptop clouds basically mean "zoom out really really far".

If there is a way to keep them and make them less of a CPU killer that would be fantastic.
I really miss the green swirling vortex like place some missions would take you, doing Recon now seems so bland as you're flying through space taking damage from nothing.

I'd like to see a 'thin client' option of shutting -all- eye candy off; clouds, explosions, the jump animation, everything.

There's alot of visual bugs with clouds, sometimes they appear out of nowhere in certain camera angles on places where they shouldn't, like stations or whatever often as a ship explodes. I've got my screen flashed by a really bright cloud several times in the last couple of months(so it's not a huge problem) even though I've upgraded my gfx card to nvvidia geforce gtx 650

They have given us a lot of other options (turn off/on effects, ...), so they can just give us an option to turn off those pesky clouds ... +2 ;)

I agree.
Those clouds are not looking somehow awesome anyway, and when talking about graphics, how are we sposed to enjoy our shiny new beautiful ships when we got 10 fps in some goddamn cloud?

I can't even see my ship when I'm in front of a cloud. Those things are brighter than the sun... Ugh

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

+1, clouds are both aesthetically unappealing and annoyingly resource-consuming.
Besides, they make no sense from a scientific point of view.

I like the fluffy clouds.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
