New player. Why are ships dropping in prices.

Hi all. I'm going to cut straight to the chase. Why are some ships in eve dropping so fast in prices right now?

Moros and Machariel have dropped alot and I'm wondering why that is? Something to do with last patch?

I know this might be a really stupid question but I'm still intrested in knowing why that is:)

Ships fall in and out of favour; less demand results in a lower price.
For the Machariel, it used to be the go-to ship for mission runners, but with recent changes, the other pirate/navy battleships have been brought more in line; You also need to consider the upcoming Marauders balance pass (for Rubicon) which will probably generate a lot of interest in running a marauder instead of a machariel.

I'm not sure about the Moros as you said in your post, but in general, mineral prices have been dropping over the last few months. You might be looking at a price correction regarding buildprices.

The drop in mineral prices is one factor, another major one is the drop in decryptor prices after Odyssey.

I now use decryptors on invention jobs I never would have considered using one on pre-Odyssey, and as such production costs fall further for tech 2 ships.
