I have a fairly new gallenge char I want to mission with. I have tech 2 lights and mediums. And most drone support skils to 4. Good fiting and cap skills and decent armor skills. I am wondering if I am better of training for t2 sentries or heavy drones first. I want to use new destroyer then myrm for 3 s and domi for 4s.

Sentries all the way. Heavies are niche at best.

Once you start using sentries you'll never look back.

Training sentries to 5 gets you all 4 types T2.
Heavy drones need racial specific skills on top of the primary skill.
You get way more bang for your buck SP wise with sentries.

You also have the factor of only needing the heavies on mainly angel missions and the sentries help on all types.
This will make for more isk per hour sooner.
It's also why you will want Minmitar heavies for the L4's if you are using a drone boat with sentries.

Before they fixed the A.I. there was 1 reason to run heavies; AFK RS. Now there is no reason. What they said, Sentries.

if you run a mjd fit, you never need heavies with a BS

Heavies are still in the game?

Sentries all the way, especially with a mjd.

This is not a signature.

Sentries, sentries and then, sentries.

Do _not_ forget interfacing (get it to IV asap), and eventually combat drone operation (to V) and ewar drones to IV. Having bouncers hit out to 140km makes using heavy drones look silly :)

One more sentries user here.
They can even tank quite well, and you can sit next to them are remotly repair them.
In fact i could almost remove the tank from my Ishtar when i mission/rat...
I'm sad for the heavy drones, because i like more choices and variety in gameplay, but in the actual state, for PVE, there not really much reasons to use them Ugh

Heavies!

Got bored with Sentries, tried Heavy drones with a truck load of Nav Computers! Got them going real fast, nearly 2k m/s!!

They did ok for some Missions, most of the time was wishing I had sentries as a Back up, the nav computers did make the light go stupidly fast and clear frigs very quickly.

Not something I fly often, but was nice watching the Ogre's / Berserkers go fast!

Carebears ITT.

Furthermore, I think that links must be removed from the game.

If you are missioning in Serp space then get into an Ishtar as soon as you can. And then the Domi. And use T2 Gardes. Nuff said.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
