Well not so much these days, they've made a horrible attempt at a shield HAC doctrine. Which is normally not that bad, but in this case there is a hodgepodge of ships allowed that don't complement each other whatsoever. Hopefully they see the light soon an KISS it down a little.

We can agree to disagree, the point of a doctrine is that everyone is in a similar ship (besides support) or at the very least something the compliments each other. This way people know what direction to train and the FC knows the capabilities of their fleet.

When fleet doctrine is -
Fleet Scythes
Vaga's
Deimos
Ishtars
Caracle's
Pick what you can fly.

The optimal ranges are different, tank is different, cap life is different, Alpha and DPS is different, etc etc. The fleet is no longer a doctrine but a "shield kitchen sink fleet". There are some things that common sense applies. This is all IMHO though.

Sadly, I am going through a nasty divorce (still) and have been staying in a RV, playing on a laptop and a 4g network. I've been reduced to corp logistics, PI, and stocking the local markets. Stupid graphics card hates Eve, it`s like watching a slideshow when I undock,
