I'm coming to the conclusion that camping > roaming if you want to kill things

Log in. Check map statistics. Look at 'pilots in system' and 'kills in last hour'. Don't roll out for about five minutes. (Get a drink. Make some food.). That gives some time for your intel channels to filter any immediate info. Recheck map statistics. Gate camps can be avoided.

Go to populated home systems filled with bad pilots. Like CFC home systems / TEST / insert other large sov bloc. and you will always, and I mean always get fights. That is the best way hands down.

Why do you guys compare raw kills with the pvp experience of hunting a target down?
The man wrote in his post that he's totally content with fish ... he didn't write about a juicy steak. (;

Here's to you, here's to me, friends forever we will be ... and if we ever disagree, f*** you, and here's to me. Cheers!

"People like to roam because they are impatient"

No, people like to roam because it's more interesting than sitting at a gate. People like to roam because it's not lame.

Mostly people roam to catch expensive ratter ships from anomalies and missions.

Yea if you're looking to pad killboards, get kills by out blobbed your opponent, and not learn anything from engagements, then sure, camping gates is the way to go.

This.

If you want to pad your KB risk free, just anchor some bubbles around some gates along pipes. People rarely shoot bubbles and anything that dies in a bubble after trying to initiate warp... it shows up on your KB.

Rifterlings top killer for a single month was a bubble we anchored in Curse.

Nothing wrong with camping, you can sometimes get real fights and it's the quickest way to force a fight when everyone just typically runs from you. I like to do it in a destroyer. There are many tactics for camping that can be fun as well as challenging and don't include boosts/falcons/logi/bubbles and insta locking T3s.

In my experience a blob or risk adverse camp (T3s, ewar and such) really won't get you many kills, you get reported quickly and people avoid you or counter blob you. Keep it small and a bit on the down low and you can harvest kills like a boss. But always mix it up, don't be that guy that only camps or the guy who refuses to camp, know when to do one or the other in a given situation to maximize your pew.
