Give Reikoku back their T2 BPOs

In 2007, there was a well-documented incident where a member of CCPs staff was found to have spawned a number of highly valuable items to give to the player corporation Reikoku. In the wake of the community response, CCP confiscated the items in question and punished the developer responsible.

Given recent revelations regarding Somer Blink, it is clear that CCP regards the spawning of highly valuable items to be provided to player corporations, rather than being an offence, to be an official part of their marketing strategy to reward their chosen favourites for running successful organisations. In this light, it is surely time that the historic injustice was restored and Reikoku have their T2 BPO collection returned to them. Much damage has already been done, Reikoku have lost years worth of profit from their BPOs being taken away from them, and a T2 BPO is no longer the money-spinner it once was after the introduction of the Invention system, so the restoration of these items will serve as cold comfort. It is far too late for CCP to undo the harm of their error completely, but I believe it is vitally important that CCP at least acknowledge their mistake and return these BPOs to their rightful owners in the Reikoku corporation.

I believe it would also be appropriate for CCP to provide some form of compensation for the loss of income over the last 6 years. Following the pattern set by the recent changes made to the Somer Blink giveaway, may I suggest that an appropriate compensation may be to provide the directors of Reikoku with either a choice of unique new frigate or cruiser, or an all-expenses paid trip to Fanfest.

In either case, Reikoku must have justice. Return their BPOs.

You can read the details of the incident here.

It isn't surprising that many will not even have heard of the once-powerful Reikoku corporation, they have slipped from their former lofty position in recent years and the unjustified confiscation of their BPO collection probably played a large part in this. As I said, it is likely too late to restore all the damage that has been done but they deserve this historic miscarriage of justice to be reversed and the return of their BPOs.

''Band of Brothers (commonly referred to as BoB) was created during the Great Northern War. During the war, corporations from different backgrounds started to work together in close co-operation. Evolution (Evol), m0o and Reikoku (RKK)''

I wouldn't give them a bloody thing...

"it is widely believed that Kugutsumen lives in Indonesia". Now there's a surprise. My own personal experiences with people from that part of the world tells me not to be surprised at scummy behaviour"

GM Arkanon says "but it's not our sandbox. We're here to keep it clean and provide the sand.”

Is this a joke?

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Why? he is asking for stuff for a corp that ranks as one of his corps oldest enemies in order to troll CCP over the SOMER thing. It is apt, funny and demonstrably not something he will benefit from.

I agree, but according to my corp history, that corp is closed so they'd better just send them to me. It's safer that way.

As a member of their alliance at the time, I am an obvious safe pair of hands to take care of Reikoku's rightful possessions.

If you get one, I want one !!

And I'm sure we'll be the only ones flying them in fleets, killing and get killed therefore we should even be given a permanent BPO with 1 run per week or month.
