Ok, we all know what's going on with CCP, ships and Somer Blink (if you don't, wakey wakey!!!) So, I won't rant about the ins and out here.

No. Instead, I suggest the following actions:

1) Nobody play the gambling "game". Seriously, not even the "free" tickets.

2) Do not purchase any of these ships if they hit the market, no matter how cheap they fall (not likely)

3) Shoot on site anybody related to that corp/alliance, as well as the ships in question. Even if you're a miner with no intention of fighting, buy a gun if you see them and blast them away. Suicide gank if you have to.

4) Block the gambling site on your browsers immediately. Whenever some link pulls you there by mistake, the blocker should stop your hit being counted. Less hits will hopefully mean less revenue from advertisement on the site etc Blink

It's not SOMER that stinks.

It's those who are too busy flinging feces at them to notice they reek of it more than the target.

Agreed, you got me there. However, I thought that instead of beating the keyboard with my face, why not see if everyone (if they choose) can answer this in a manner which demonstrates the concern over these events. Smile

No.

Is that no because you disagree with the methods stated, or no because you agree with the situation?

Please, everyone, do make note in this thread if you wish to boycott this SOMERblink event. I will make sure to enter one extra play on your behalf. If I win the shiny stuff, I will immediately sell it and distribute the funds among each of you, via the bounty system.

I'm boycotting the event, like I do all scammer sites. Be sure and spell my name right when you bounty me.

Will do. I want to make sure that people can benefit from this travesty. Spreading the ill-gotten gains far and wide via the bounty system seems most equitable.

Personally I don't blame Somer for taking loads of free stuff. Pretty much anyone would take no strings trillions if CCP offered it. I blame CCP for forgetting the lessons of T20 and blatantly showing favoritism like the bad old days of tinfoil, developer friends and ISD shenanigans.

The thing is, CCP stated a while ago that they wanted to work more with 3rd Party sites / groups and also reward them for the work that they do.

The worrying thing is because of all this butt hurt nerd outrage CCP may no longer feel inclined to do so if they do not well done for ruining the game for everyone else, which ironically is what the goons have always said they will do :)

What's wrong with gambling a few digital space bucks? Does it lead to harder stuff? Like scamming noobs and ganking miners?
