I must say I'm very excited about these ships (and all the other announcements about rubicon) - sounds like they made this expansions theme 'LCOs wishlist fulfilled' - except marauders...

It remains to be seen how all of this is executed in the end, but it all sounds very promising :).

They only announced the frig and cruiser thus far, however hinted at considering it in the chat afterwards. Whilst it would be nice, a non-obamafied BO buff would suffice imho.

Very interested to see these ships.

Also interested to see if SOE is going to expand Level 4 offices to other empires and see how that will affect faction standings...

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

On a more serious note, I wonder if CCP has any plans to make new missions that are more aligned with the SoE's mandate (Humanitarian aid, exploration)? It just seems..silly, to toss the same "go blow guys up/haul some junk/mine some ore" missionstyles at the SoE.

Yeah we need more missions closer to the reality of SoE.

Like running dope for the brother of the SoE CEO... oh wait...

Am I saf to speculate that these ships will not have a gunnery or missile based bonus. And I can focus on my drone and exploration skills.

The real question lingering in my mind is if/when blops get balanced will be see a SOE battleship.

My favorite ships are the force recon ships (I love T2 cruisers in general) followed by the drone boats so this really is awesome news. Plus I have about 260000 LP with SOE and a 9.24 standing so looking forward to the new cruiser.

What I think we're looking at is an able lo-sec, nullsec gunboat that can handle itself, scan, get away when needed, and most importantly, loads drones which promote long-term exploratory expeditions without the need to return all to quickly to "civilization".

edit: Oh, and they look so good it makes you get all squiggly inside.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

For years people have speculated or hoped for an SOE command ship that could boost scanning/res etc.

Who knows where this will lead.

I just hope we can get them with LPs.

I was under the impression that SoE ships favored drones, but I don't know where I got that impression. The chronicles have an incident where an SoE ship gets destroyed by drones after attempting to negotiate with them for passage to Sarum's Super Weapon Abbadon, but no reference to them being drone ships.

An SoE ship did have better than normal scanning/sensing capabilities as it was used to track the super weapons path by detecting very small anomalies in space.
