If you are an influential player in the game, or sit at a position of privilege, you get a free pass. The terms of service are interpreted by CCP as they see fit; terms of service are there to be enforced, not interpreted. No doubt, in a few hours, an ISD lackey or a GM will simply lock this thread as another example of "enforcing" their terms of service. The SOMER Blink fiasco is the last straw for a loyal customer who no longer believes in the integrity of a developer that has been dying from the inside out.

I'm cancelling my sub and it ends on October 18th. I have four accounts and pay £9.99 / month. So that's £39.96 / month CCP will now be losing. I personally know about half a dozen other guys, some also with multiple accounts, who are also considering letting go of the game.

It's not that I'm QQ-ing about a decision I don't like (or is anyone else for that matter). It's the unrelenting, consistent, throw-it-in-your-face level of incompetence that CCP continues to express in its' decision-making. Even the simplest of moves now seem to leave CCP stumbling. Perhaps they should re-consider Youtube as an employment platform?

So, here I am (for < a month more), and I am asking, seriously, for a stand to be made. Search your own hearts and seriously consider whether you are happy handing over the money you spend the hours in your day making to a company that think's you are something to poke with a stick, a cash-cow. If you are not, please stop, else this will become their business model for the next ten years.

Goodbye.

I thought I saw you posting making fun of those bitching about the ships being introduced and the 3rd party ordeal? Was that all sarcasm or is this another stupid trolling by you?
I'm only on this because my main, Tron 3K, is banned till 9/30/2013! Don't give me any likes!

Yes, CCP needs to put a bit more thought into their official stance on a couple of relatively minor issues.

If the OP feels that is worth quitting over, that's fine.

If the other posters feel he is over reacting and playing it for the drama, that's fine too.

I doubt your going to find much support for the statement "that's why EVE has become so bad". I think most of us feel that overall EVE is a great game, and getting better all the time.

This is exactly it.

Whether it's changes to the UI, enforcing the TOS or how they hand out prizes... they constantly make the wrong, illogical decision.

I as well will never give them 1 cent of mine again. I can just take about 30% of my earnings (if even) and buy the PLEX on my own while I still want to keep playing.

The nail in the coffin is how they play favorites. It's as you said: A nobody can get permabanned for the most minor of infractions, but a somebody can get a slap on the wrist for committed the worst of infractions.

I don't need support, you clearly didn't go read the two other sticky threads in GD... or maybe you just don't care.
With all these things happening you find the time to even congratulate CCP ? Wow impressive.

That would be because my focus is the game and the enjoyment I get from it, not how a TOS is worded (remember, enforcement hasn't changed) or if CCP chose a questionable way to insert a grand total of 5 ships into the game. Both of these issues will have zero (even potential) effect on all but the tiniest fraction of players in the game, and the reality of it is they likely won't affect anyone.

No, I'm not much for pointless emo rage. I'd rather point out where things might be done differently and then carry on with more important matters.... but if you feel like going on a crusade, feel free.

From what I learned in a marketing course I once took, apparently 96% of unhappy customers don’t complain, however 91% of those will simply leave and never come back.

I think OP is providing CCP a service by giving them "feedback" on why he is leaving. Cool

I cannot "like" your post enough, Ranger. Thank you.

However, I will point out that in the rage of all the people threatening to quit, if you donate all your items and isk to me, I will distribute them as prizes for listeners of the podcast. I can assure you that the items will be destroyed in a manner that CCP will find repugnant, thus "Sticking It To The Man".

Don't worry; they'll be back. P
No one puts that much effort into a 'goodbye' that they really mean.
If they meant it, they'd have just un-sub'd and been gone; no muss, no fuss, over and done.
