Will this structure allow T3 Strategic Cruisers to refit subsystems (inside or out of a wormhole)?

What is the depot even supposed to do? I gave up on this silly TVitchy thing long ago, so I still haven't seen the release video. I'm waiting for it to arrive on YouTube.

It suppose to be small structure with cargo space and fitting service. No details yet about whether will it be full fitting service like in stations (in this case it would have t3 subsystems fitting feature) or not. Dev blogs and F&I threads should start showing up next week so hopefully we will get some more juicy info.

We will prolly get some more details on that soon...

I actually like that Idea of a mobile base... I also like the idea that it can be shot down even in highsec. All that will happen is you go suspect.

I just hope it can be scanned down since you can plonk it down anywhere in a safe spot.

It's recorded on Twitch, and Twitch is going to be integrated in EVE online, are you seriously waiting till it uploads on a different website?

I disagree

Subsystems is a different story, at the moment no the structure will not allow that. Once we do decide to do T3 subsystem refit though, it will affect all fitting services while in space.

Quick edit: We have decided to do T3 subsystem refits, it's just a matter of deciding when to do it.

The fitting service provided by the Depot will be similar to that provided by a SMA or Carrier.
The specific roadblock that has thus far prevented us from enabling Strategic Cruiser subsystem refitting at those services still exists, and thus the Depot will unfortunately not allow refitting of Strategic Cruiser subsystems at the time of Rubicon's launch.

We'll have more details for you in threads and dev blogs in the coming weeks.

another question: will Depot allow repairing of ships/modules? Quick recharging of capacitor/shield?

I've tried using TVitchy two times, and both times given up in disgust. It's a stupid kind of service, compared to YouTube, and it makes no logical sense for CCP to choose to release new material there.

Did you prepare the art and code to allow implantation on this thing to integrate others items? As it looks a lot like a first step on modular POS / POS revamp, like lots of people said.

Will it be possible to deploy a Depot within a POS forcefield to act in place of a SMA for refitting, while not taking up any POS fitting resources?

Well, maybe i didn't got it right, but from what i gathered, these depots will be essentially siting ducks while the player is away, is this right?

That is, in order to use them 1 hour each 24 hours while i log in, i must risk losing them 23 hours each 24 while i'm logged out, is this right?

CCP said they will have a reinforcement timer, and that you can scoop up your stuffs from it while it's reinforced. So as long as you check on it regularly (or pay attention to your mails if it sends mails), you are fine.

These will not be deployable within Starbase forcefields.

This is essentially correct. More details will be revealed later.

Ignorance is bliss as they say.

Will be interesting to see if they can be scanned down, I am looking forward living around the universe with a personal depot hopefully combined with the new SOE faction cruiser Smile

If you anchor one outside of your forcefield but on grid with a starbase (if this is allowed) and it gets attacked, in highsec, and you have your POS set to attack those who drop in security status, will it still shoot at them or not?

if ur also making the cyno jammer module, can you make it not come into effect immediately? If it is an instant cyno jam, seems a bit overpowered. It makes sense for defending POSes or ops in a specific system, but shouldn't be a "lets make sure this one guy isn't a bait so we dont get a fleet fight" cargo container.
