So what is everyone buying on the basis of the Winter expansion announcement?

Because of the new deployables, and the hi sec custom gantry annoucement, I'm currently buying capital construction parts and other items used in orbital construction.

Interceptor immunity to warp bubbles plus the warp acceleration boost for smaller ships... I predict price increase maybe?

The interceptors in Jita were cleared out within 30 seconds. So a bit late to for those.Smile

Actually it was a very tongue in cheek post. I am fully invested, still, in investments made prior to my election to the council, and I don't feel that any of winter's offerings would be large enough to warrant an early cash-out even if I had not won my seat.

This pretty much. Interceptors and the other small ships are built too fast in vast quantities to stabilize prices. I don't say you can't make ISK on them especially since some people might buy them just now. But if you're sitting on too many you won't make it in time before the crowd of inventors goes into this market. And since there are literally no barriers for invention of these small ships you will have a hard time. Everyone and his mother will switch to them if the margins stay this way.

TLDR: If you were stupid enough to go on Interceptors heavily you will have to hope for others who are even more stupid to invest into them NOW after the price hike. Or you just have to hold onto them until MoonGoo stablilizes on the new levels and hope you come out on top.

EDIT: That said, they will probably stablize over current levels when they are used more often.

Let's view this from a technical point :

So i read a comment from a CCP dev stating clearly to someones theoreticall question that he was not allowed to say he was the alt of his main.

Knowing this , it is CCP's viewpoint to see your characters as seperate individuals and NOT part of your main character or be it your out of game persona as a link.

So then logically you are NOT allowed to make investments with mynna based on the information you have/had.However if you would use one of your other characters then you should be fine to do so as again technically you are also not 'telling anyone else' about the upcoming changes.I mean how could you tell that to your other character without using words ? Blink

Ow and speaking for myself i never do speculations -well only did it once- so neither did it this time.God forbid i'd throw myself over the T mark Blink .

Though i am VERRY happy with the new interceptor changes IF the nullification thingy get's to be a part of it.Can't wait to roam solo with that thing under my ass.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

New SOE cruiser, new modules, redesigned Marauders (battleship sized ships always demand a lot of Trit),....

There's a famous "80/20" law also based on math principles: 80% traders lose and 20% become richer (in RL it's even worse, some statistics claim 90% losers).

Basically if you think and act like "everyone" then you'll perform like "everyone": a net loss.

You had to act weeks ago, now the game's over.

If the entire fountain war was a fart in the wind to the mineral markets, what makes you think that a cruiser (tiny mineral requirement), new modules (likewise) and Marauders that normally sell only a couple dozen a day tops in Jita will even be noticeable?

But you are being logical about it. Most speculators are not logical. They buy/build with emotion based upon past money making ideas.
So they see what this Rubicon will change and simply buy/build it up. With out looking at things like market demand however should a whole lot of industrialists be stupid and over build marauders which I suspect they will do anyway, as in we may end up with more than a 2 year supply of marauders pre built then they could impact mineral prices in the short term.

I am talking about a 2 year supply for all of eve as opposed to the one time event of the fountain war.

One only needs to track the history of the volume of mineral purchases in Jita to confirm this is happening.

I do see something not listed that may be greatly impacted but want to check the market myself before I say and hopefully sisi as well

On a side note I should get back to hi sec and start mission running for sisters of eve also.

That's a lot of words to say that most people are morons when it comes to the market.
