Winter expansion that releases a month before Fall ends... nice.

Does CCP have any idea what they are doing? Honestly. This was an announcement that was announced by an announcement. They have revealed virtually nothing but more speculation. No details about anything other than, "Uh, we're doing some things.... uh.. ummm. Ya. Keep buying PLEX k."

I have never had any idea what I am doing, and my space Donald Sutherland avatar is now so old that he's starting to develop a charming, yet still tragic case of Alzheimer's and relying solely on The Nanites to clean out his evacuation and sterilize his pod. What month is it anyways?

Actually, you know there was only one pre-announcement which was announcing the time of the live stream. I suppose we could have nested several layers of announcement more, so maybe for the Christmas in July expansion that happens in February we'll do that ;)

But more seriously, how about referring to 2nd and 4th quarter releases, eve players are not so dumb, give them some credit.

Is this really a big deal? Aren't you happy that you're getting A LOT of new content sooner than later? Considering that we haven't heard an announcement until now and this is CCP we are talking about I'm actually impressed they are releasing it as early as they are.

I kind of have to agree with this. The expansion is very lacking (more so than Odyssey) it looks more like a 1.2 release currently.
I was watching the streaming think "soon they'll announce the big content revamp or addition" it never came.

Now don't get me wrong as I have said in other areas I have mentioned this I do believe it will have a lot of fun stuff and the continued balancing is nice. I just don't see the "theme" they're working on for this release, it's just a bunch of toys and nothing more.

"New Content", to use your terms, is every new thing they give us that expands on the ways players can interact with each other.

Given the fact that they said they introduce these new thingies to create more conflict,
it's save to say that there'll be a lot more content coming at us.

The interceptor changes alone will create a LOT of new content for a lot of people ...


By chance you've meant "consumeable content" ... well ... too bad.
Neither most the community, nor the developer actually favour that.

(edit: Yes, i can safely say that, because that's what's happening.)
(if the community seriously favoured PvE, CCP would create this stuff for you)

I'm wondering myself if this is the sum total of what they're planning on releasing. I know they've said that a couple of things were still early in development, so I wonder if the things that are feature complete will free up additional developers to work on something on the "feature backlog" list. Obviously it wouldn't be anything big at this late stage, but one can dream.

Also I hate myself for using so many agile development buzzwords. AFK to flog the agile out of myself.
