The highlighted part is why I think some of the criticism is silly. Some people are actually saying "why them and not me?". Not being the jealous type, I don't particularly care since it's a CCP thing rather than some covert iran-contra style stuff like the T20 affair.

I know people feel like their complaints are valid. I disagree, I think some people are letter their inner-nerd go out for a stroll and should reign it back in.

It's good that players feel a kind of "ownership" of the game, so long as they understand that they don't actually own anything. CCP can and should do as they please, those who don't like it should unsub (as I plan to do if CCP keeps trying to mainstream EVE for much longer, but that's another thread altogether).


No, people are saying "why not me" to point out the utter absurdity of CCP explicitly endorsing and specifically benefitting one player corporation. How you don't see that is mind boggling.

The argument of "giving them money" is completely ridiculous.

SOMER must have earned so much money by now,
that multiple dozens of billions of isk are a mear drop in the ocean anyway.

It makes perfectly sense to give this stuff to them,
because - from an isk-perspective - it doesn't actually matter anymore.

Unlike most of you, who would have huge issues suddenly owning something
worth much more than their minds could handle.

And spawning items for specific players, thus promoting those players businesses is interference from outside of the sandbox.

Shame on all of you who care about eve and try to tell CCP when they make a mistake. Why do you care about a video game you play? Really you should let CCP do what they want, even if it destroys what makes the game fun and unique. Clearly CCP has never made a mistake in the past, and causing an outcry has never altered the direction of the game for the better.

Somer Blink is a very nice money making scheme that is more profitable than any scam, thus does not need to be a scam. Why do these guys need free, exclusive stuff? There is nothing to stop them from rigging any and all lotteries.

Well I do enjoy Blink.

I can easily see both sides of the arguement about their choice of ships... and I'm glad they changed it because on the super odd chance that I won I think my odds are sitting at about 1:3000 atm.. I would much rather a free trip to iceland then some internet pixels =D

but that being said would of relly loved the Vextor.. just roll around droppnig sentrys and lol'ing at the DPS output =D

Dose your corp help sponcer EvE events?
the last alliance torument Somer blink gave 10bil isk to each of the compeating teams because they could and didnt want any teams skimping out because their alliance wallets wernt big enough.

They are setting up stalls at EvE Vagas and running a PvP tournament.. Is yours?

Does that justify being given special treatment?

You're kind of missing the point about the "why not our corp" argument. They're not arguing that their corp should get this treatment. They're arguing that SOMER Blink should not.
