Big Problems for small alliances, if you want a logo

Hello dear forum
We have a problem,

I have been talking to alliances that meet the criteria of getting a logo.
We and many others have been sitting and waiting to get logos published, but CCP seems to favor "major" alliances.
Especially 0.0 Alliances in general, some 0.0 alliances have gotten their logos approved without meeting CCP's Criteria.
I'm not adressing this as it affects me and my alliance, but many others. The worst thing is that CCP shrugs it off with a casual, " fitting the artistic theme " of eve online.

This is very strange to me, because there is no logo out there, that fits with the artistic theme of eve online. Examples are: Test/Goonswarm/NCDOT and many others.

I have talked to 6 other alliance CEO's now, they have all gotten the same excuse as us and one of those alliances had a logo of a spaceship.

This is one of many examples where CCP favoritism comes into greater play, We have seen before how CCP's favoritism tips the scales in conflict and in interest, T20 for example.

Prior i have adressed this issue at fanfest with as many developers as i could manage to find, but the response was less than slim. There seem to be no need for individualism in eve online, as long as we pay our subscription fee and keep our mouths closed.

Then everything works out fine.

PS.
You are only entitled to a logo if you are space famous or do an t20.

Nomads proposed un-artistic logo, should have had a bee with a shotgun instead... more in feel of eve.

I see, so a Jawa-looking figure with a gun is not "in the artistic theme of Eve" but a Bumblebee smoking a cigarette (Goons) IS.

Very consistent, CCP. Very consistent.

EDIT: And then there's TEST's T-Rex wearing a suit. Very much "in the theme of Eve."

So we did some research now, as nomads lovely logo was denied cause of "artistic" reasons. These are the ones that got approved in the batch:

There is something funny with these logos, not a single one is holding up on the artistic "visions". Nor has any relevance to the game, i also found 2 of the images are using copyright protected material and just adding their ticker to it.

We got our logo approved before whatever idiot screens them now started doing it. If we tried to submit a new one now (like for our renter alliance) we'd get stuck dealing with these dumb rules too.

Same rules should apply to everyone, as it is a sandbox game.
Doesn't matter if they changed the person who does the screening, the same criteria must be upheld.
Also i cannot find a single logo that fit the artistic visions, except the npc factions. We cannot really count them as they are made by CCP.

So if we are going to keep saying that Eve online is a sandbox, where all rules applies to everyone, you have to have equality on every question.

This is pure favoritism we are arguing about, not that a logo was denied.

It's the unequal and arbitrary "approval" system that upsets me. SO many logos have nothing to do with space in general or Eve in particular, yet ours gets rejected for that reason.


Next they'll be giving out T2 BPOs to certain alliances Shocked

Now the design department has issued another response.

It's not that our logo is contradictory to the eve "artistic" view, It's the quality now.

There is a saying in my language, If it smells like ****, then someone forgot to flush the toilet.

Even the " Didn't want that region anyway " response, is more thought out than that.
