CCP never said they were intertwined. They are simply supporting Somer by giving them ships to hold this lottery. CCP has no role in Somer Blink's operations.

But they're spawning them free items? I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you're saying...

Now that S.O.M.E.R. Blink and CCP are official intertwined, we need to have a serious discussion about the spread charged by CCP to gamble with them. It is, after all, now effectively a game mechanic along the lines of LP payouts or clone cost.

Yup. The people that run Somer have just been designated an official agent of CCP, as CCP is using the Somer-Blink proprietary mechanics to run a CCP endorsed promotion, which will directly profit Somer-Blink.

So as an agent of CCP, they should fall under the same scrutiny as any other agent tapped by CCP for a promotion.

I suppose CCP also own Amazon and can demand them to change their policies too.

How is this any more intertwined with CCP than the alliances who win the AT? CCP has handed out plenty of free items in the past without it being a problem.

Not a forum alt.

wow qq more about cool stuff.

Unless you have proof they are literally handing prizes to their friends, why bother posting?

To me, it looks like a great way to get the cool stuff out to 'random people'.

No one is stopping you from setting up a competing (with blink) product.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Are you saying that CCP is giving PLEX'es to Amazon for free??

If no, then its not the same.

It's a non-profit blink... The only real gain for SOMER Blink is the attention. CCP likes to do things for the active groups in their game. You guys and gals need to chill out. SOMER isn't the first and won't be the last group to get things spawned for them. How about every real life event that CCP sends plex and things to for raffles? Should all of them be considered agents of CCP?

No, this is not how it works.
"With SOMER Blink anyone who plays a single blink (even a free promo blink) will gain a ticket to the main Blink Blast so you have a chance to win. Clearly, the more you play the more chances you have to win the blast."

So you are encouraged to sink as much ISK as you can into SOMER.

Except for the fact that you have to buy tickets from Blink to get a chance at the raffle. So you're right, besides the billions that Somer is going to make off this raffle, it's totally non-profit Roll

Except to play the free blinks, you have to have played a blink within the last month.

Edit: I was wrong, it's worse. To play a promo blink you must have played a regular Blink in the past 48 hours. Players who have deposited more than one billion ISK into their Blink accounts are exempt from this rule.

They are, CCP are literally gifting the prizes/ships to Blink.

This is not a signature.

So you have used the site, have isk and/or tokens on the site, and are complaining about having to use the site?

EDIT: "But we wanted to give folks a chance at these hulls that didn't want to spend any ISK on our site too, so we moved the tickets to "any play" and are rolling any residual profit from this event back to the Vegas event sponsorship"

All the isk made is going to the Eve Vegas live event. So it is no different than every other time CCP gives away free **** to live events. Why haven't you guys thrown a fit all those times?
