So, we're looking at what? A ticket/petition to have him banned for breaking the EULA/TOS.

CCP has repeatedly and publicly said this is proper gameplay and mechanics nothing breaking EULA/TOS in what they do sorry to burst your bubble.

This PvP is fueled by Kraken Rum.

I get it, I think... just meh. Is that the best way to "fix" High-Sec? Shocked

May not be the best way to "fix" hi sec, but it is forcing miners to adapt. I'm of the opinion that the point to all this was never to actually disrupt the mining industry so much as to force them to actually play the game. It seems that some are doing exactly this and adjusting how they approach what they do in accordance to this change in the environment. Others are screaming like stuck pigs. I've seen posts by several gankers mentioning how some of their erstwhile prey is becoming more wary, and putting in place countermeasures. Personally, I think that's a good thing, as it's forcing those who WANT to profit from mining to take a few safety precautions in order to do so. They mine smart and they profit. The ones who mine stupid (AFK), are forced to ISK tank. Being that EVE truly boils down to force in almost everything, this only makes a certain level of sense.

Its not about making the most profitable business. Its about saving hisec and possibly Eve. If there is one thing James is known for, its writing very clear, and long, explanations for what he is doing. Plenty of good info at the link if you truly seek wisdom. If you merely wish sound bite arguments we can banter about here, without first having done the pre-reading, then you are possibly just looking to troll and are not yet open to the Code.

I cannot believe I'm about to say this but HOLY ****, sir, James315 is right on the money; minus the creepy roleplay...

Either your PsyOps game is on point and I've been reconditioned by that article or it all makes as much sense as I think it does... oh god. Ugh

What to do? As an industrialist in High Sec I can say that I do appreciate the PvP aspect of Eve even though I've not really developed those skills as much as I would like to... I just, wow. fml - I agree with James315. What have I become??

Yeah, I remember when I came to the same realization. They have a point. Sure was an eye opener. Almost as shocking as when Psychotic Monk and his wardeccers showed me that eve is about more than mission running and pursuit of ISK. (By blowing me up repeatedly.)

+100 for content providers. You guys showed me the way.

On my way to -10 in lowsec.

Wait? He's saving highsec? From what? From whom?

So, basically, he's elected himself to be "The Saviour of High Security space" all on his own with a side-order of impersonation of a representative of the interests of those same people he vows to kill every single day. I'm quite sure the miners mining there didn't elect him or put any votes in.

So, we're looking at what? A ticket/petition to have him banned for breaking the EULA/TOS.

Hang up your space lawyer hat, you're done. He isn't breaking the EULA by claiming to be the saviour of hisec because he IS the saviour of highsec. Lead GMs have confirmed you cannot be banned for telling the truth about your characters.

I also don't understand how you're having trouble understanding how what we do is a benefit to miners everywhere. Now, I'm going to assume you are not filthy afk/botter scum, as I'm an optimist. The filthy afk/bot scum drive down the prices for the good, legit miners everywhere. The abundance of this disgusting ill-gotten ore hurts your profits. We're trying to help you, and will continue to help you even if you can't understand it. We're just that nice.

Is James315 pulling for a Nullbear v Carebear showdown?? I read most of the manifesto and it's like Eve needs to be "fixed" pushed out of jealousy for what is rather than what used to be... miners in nullsec, miners in highsec... pvp everywhere.

so?

Whenever a miner takes some clever precaution that foils one of my gank attempts, I smile a little inside. It means we are succeeding.

That's the best thing about the New Order. When we destroy ships, we're winning the battle of tactics. When we fail to destroy ships, we're winning the battle of strategy.

Welcome to the New Order of Hisec. We need support of all kinds: bumpers, gankers, and industrialists to make and deliver Catalysts. We also take donations to the ship replacement fund. All sorts of ways to get invovled.

Of course He is right.

You do not need much PVP experience or skill training to get started in ganking, although you will get much better at ganking as both improve.

Unlike a previous poster I would not recommend building Catalysts at the moment due to present market conditions (it appears Goonswarm is dumping tens of thousands of Catalyst hulls onto the market after they used less than expected in the Caldari Ice Interdiction). Likewise there is an enormous surplus of t2 blasters on the market presently. I would suggest instead building whatever you would have built for profit, and making an ISK donation.

Or better yet, just invest three to twenty days of training time, and become a miner euthanisation expert.

My favored fit is a Catalyst with a full rack of tech 2 heavy neutron blasters (104 charges of Void S), a Small Hybrid Burst Aerator, a Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator, two Sensor Booster IIs with scan resolution scripts (for podcatching), and three Magstab 2s. With my skills and (low end) implants, it's a 695 damage per second disposable wrecking ball.

I personally do not bother with the bumping side of our work. Why irritate a wayward miner when you can euthanise them instead?

Aye, Eve Online is slowly but surely heading toward the direction of what has been referred to as a theme park mmo. Not the best link, but it'll work. Basically, high-sec will become the ride the devs take you on. You stick to that ride, because it's safe. However, some of the changes have also effected everyone, including those who live in low and null; the most recent change being the ToS on scamming. Whereas with sandbox mmo's you make up the 'ride' yourself as you go along. It's because of the sandbox design that we have NO and high-sec miners/carebears fighting it out in high-sec and on the forums; this is the sandbox. For whatever reason, probably to increase revenue, CCP is heading towards making the game "safer" one nerf at a time. Those of us who enjoy ganking and/or piracy know that you can't patch stupid and we'll continue to get our targets. Until CCP nerfs the game into the ground, sort of speak. There will always be the dedicated who will continue regardless.

James 315 and NO help show that Eve should not become a theme park mmo by not only using the sandbox concept, but also creating content through the sandbox design. Essentially using the sandbox to save the sandbox.

If you are interested in joining the cause (piracy, ganking, bumping, industry), or learning more about it get in contact with someone apart of NO, or send me an in-game email.

HTH and makes sense, it's extremely late.

Judging from the killboards, there's very little battles where you alone kill someone without being backed by at least 5 others. However, there's plenty of kills where one guy blasts you to smitherenes ;)

If they were heroes, they wouldn't hide in NPC corporations ;)

The character does not represent the views/opinions of its Corporation or Alliance.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander; miners hide in NPC corps, why shouldn't gankers?

That said, the majority of bumpers and gankers are in player run corps. While James and his band of merry mischief makers operate solely in highsec, some of the players involved are in lowsec and nullsec corps.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
