All of Amazon's direct download, product key and game connect purchases require a US billing address. The majority of the stuff sold through those means is regionally priced.

You are correct, and maybe Amazon isnt the right partner for CCP to team up with and they should look to a different company that caters internationally. Even if its TMC, i'd buy it from the cheapest channel. Cool

Even with yearly subscriptions, we Europeans pay the most because our currency is worth the most.

I just wanted to buy 6 PLEX for my accounts through Amazon but the offer is for US customers only... what a god damn rip-off... why should I have to subscribe for 12 months just to get the same thing as US players get for simply buying PLEX during a sale?

This sucks - and you just lost out on my 75$.

CCP, talk to Amazon and tell them that you also have many international players and that you'll only make such deals with them in the future if they don't simply exclude a large portion of your players for no good reason.

It's a ******* virtual purchase... why should stupid Amazon care about what silly address I enter - I'm paying by credit card, it doesn't get any more international then that.

Because most likely you home country cares.

VAT in the EU isn't cheap.

VAT on imports of goods from non-EU countries

VAT on imports of goods that you buy from non-EU countries is normally charged at the same rate as if the goods had been supplied in the UK.

Maybe find a US buddy in your corp? Paypal him for the PLEX? Unless that would get the GM's panties in a wad?

Go to a store and buy an Amazon gift card. They have them at CVS, Walgreens, Best Buy, 7-Eleven, and several others.

Unfortunately, you cannot use Amazon gift cards to buy PLEX packages or GTCs from CCP on Amazon, either. I had a couple sitting around that I was given over Christmas, loaded them to my account, and tried. No dice.

They even do it with free kindle apps that are available on both the .com and .co.uk sites. Kinda bizarre, especially when Valve have no trouble with regional pricing on a single site.

I wonder why CCP would go with Amazon as a vendor if they know that it excludes everyone outside of the US.
Seems like a really weird move, I would have liked to purchase some plex at that price.

Oh well, gj CCP

I've watched ingame PLEX value soar over the past 3 years from 245,000,000 ISK to now over 600,000,000 ISK.

I feel like its gone from Pay-to-Win to Pay-to-Win Even Faster.

I've watch item prices soar to almost double what they were before in those years as well. 3 years ago an Apocalypse could be bought, fit and insured for slightly more than the hull value at less then the cost of an Apocalypse hull now.

Three years ago, Apocs were built with botted dronespace minerals.

Now they cost a price that more nearly reflects the actual player effort required to build one. You might as well complain that your cost of living has increased because you can't use counterfeit money any more.

I am looking for my complaint here but I can't just can't find it?
