Last night while ratting I received an escalation to a Sansha 7/10 DED complex. I am an Amarr pilot, with good skills up to the battlecruiser level. I can also fly a Legion. Is this complex one that can be solo'd by anything smaller than a battleship? Is it worth purchasing a Legion just to run this complex? And if so, what DPS and tank numbers should I be aiming for with my fit to comete this DED? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I haven't flown a 7/10, but with the difficulties I have had flying Sansha War Supply Complex (6/10) in a 689dps Sleipnir, I would think a 7/10 in a base model BC would be near impossible.

This thread may be of interest. Everything there applies here; Blood and Sansha 7s aren't that different.

Didn't want that Sov anyway.

The thread you linked is from before med gun rebalance and thus the folks in there are worrying about dual tcs and scorch to reach the Web towers with their heavy pulses. This is no longer a concern and I imagine one could scrap the two tcs for a med/small cap booster and a web and sail through the site.

Right. For some reason I thought I discussed the beam changes in that thread, but obviously that isn't the case.

However. Scorch range hasn't changed a bit, and if you want pulses everything in there still applies. The alternative now is to use beams with their improved damage (and honestly I'd still recommend at least a pair of TCs; I'm using three on my exploration Legion right now). Of course you could swap out a TC for a web if that suited you, but I really like the extra range and flexibility I get out of the third TC; just don't let frigates get close to you and you're fine.

Thanks for all the replies, there is a lot of great information here and in the linked thread. Would someone be willing to share a beam fit that I can use as a baseline? My pulse fit has 2 Corelum C-Type armor repairers, and I'm having a really hard time fitting them with Heavy Beams. Should I downgrade to Focused Medium Pulse? Or maybe sell these reps and purchase a single Centum C-type? B-type are prohibitively expensive for me at this point. Again, thanks for the help?!

Can you fly an absolution?

[Absolution, C3]

Imperial Navy Heat Sink
Imperial Navy Heat Sink
Imperial Navy Heat Sink
Corpum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Core C-Type Armor EM Hardener
Core C-Type Armor Thermic Hardener
Coreli A-Type Adaptive Nano Plating

Medium Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 800
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
10MN Afterburner II

Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Small Tractor Beam II
Salvager II

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Energy Collision Accelerator II

if not, you have to get a Legion if you want beams, or go for a BS.

I actually can fly an Absolution reasonably well. I should have looked into that before purchasing the Legion. Oh well, it is an option in the future. The Legion fit I came up with follows:

Corelum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Corelum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane

Optical Tracking Computer
Experimental 10MN Afterburner
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster

Heavy Beam Laser II
Heavy Beam Laser II
Heavy Beam Laser II
Heavy Beam Laser II
Heavy Beam Laser II
Heavy Beam Laser II

Medium Ancillary Current Router
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump

I have to switch out the engineering sub for the Power Core Multiplier for this fit to juuuuust make it.

I went with the dual Corelums to provide the burst tank when I need it. It does 593 (can this be right?) dps with IN Multi to 27 + 11 and 344 out to 87 + 11 with Aurora.

It has 257 DPS tank with a single repper and 515 with both. Loaded with Cap Booster 800 it has 3m51s of cap life with both reppers running.

How does this look? Should I fit a Sebo instead of the tracking computer to take advantage of Auroras range?

Thanks again!

Can you fit something like this?

[Legion, Legion]

Armor EM Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Corelum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II

Cap Recharger II
Experimental 10MN Afterburner I
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script

Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers
Legion Electronics - Tactical Targeting Network
Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector
Legion Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir

This base model will give you 676DPS with multi @30+16, 507DPS with ultrav @52+16, 395DPS with infrared @max targeting range and a 321/470 sansha tank. Its also cap stable without a CB, you might want a small one though in place of the recharger. Apply bling according to your wallet stats.

I like this fit, it was the sort of thing I envisaged, but then I checked the ab and it says 1mn! Is this a typo or did you actually find the extra powergrid by using an 1 mn ab lol. Shocked

I'm running a pretty close variation of that Legion:

[Legion, bloods beams speriment]
Corpum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Corpum A-Type Energized EM Membrane
Corpum A-Type Energized Thermic Membrane
Dark Blood Heat Sink
Dark Blood Heat Sink
Dark Blood Heat Sink

Republic Fleet 10MN Afterburner
Tracking Computer II
Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script

Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Heavy Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Ancillary Current Router II

Legion Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector
Legion Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst

ACR doesn't need to be T2 unless you want the option to upgrade the MAR to B- or A-type. Obviously more expensive, but it's paid for itself in less than 10 hours of play. It's primarily a replacement for my Blood 6/10 Tengu but numbers indicate it would do fine in Sansha 6s or 7s. IN MF runs with everything else for 6 minutes 40 seconds for 724 DPS at 32+19 -- or you can obviously start trading scripts for tracking, which can get up to .07rad/sec. IN UV with that script configuration gives 543 at 48+15 with more than enough tracking to blap frigates.

I could definitely see the argument for swapping out the Dissolution Sequencer for Tactical Targeting Network and my try it; I've always appreciated the ability to kite way out but haven't really been using it in practice.
