CFC member says I'm exploiting with drones.

RAZOR was the first CFC alliance to adopt a rental program. It was rather short lived because "**** Cobalt Edge."

He kept linking the news item from CCP in reguards to the POS and drone assign incident and telling everyone to petition us for exploiting. Despite my efforts to inform my friend the SMA guy was wrong, this was the third incident of a CFC member going on in local chat claiming someone was exploiting by simply assisting their drones to a fleet member, despite there not being a POS involved.

Why is the CFC members running around trying to scare other players with false information? Unfortunately my friend is too scared to want to use drone assign now because he is afraid of being banned. Will there be more features from the game CFC will want removed?


Just ignore him in local, roll eyes and tell him to make a report and have a good laugh.

No, people were angry about it and we left a thread up for them to scream bloody murder about the evils of becoming serflords. Because, apparently, goons have always had a soft spot for pubbies and would never do anything like collect money from them for the privilege of ratting in our space.

Any time Goons find a cool trick to use, such as grid-fu, FW LP store or massive drone assist salvos, they will abuse the mechanic until other people start using it against them. At this point they will highlight whatever mechanic they were abusing so that others can't use that same mechanic.

Part of the current campaign is to stop other fleets using assisted sentry drones against Goon interests, since drone assist + ISBoxer provides a huge competitive advantage.

The only question in my mind is whether Goons will end up campaigning against keystroke broadcasting as provided by ISBoxer and (modified) Synergy, or whether that mechanical advantage is so vital to their ability to play the game while frustrated-drunk that they will actively campaign against people who want keystroke broadcasting banned.
