Howdy everyone:

Trying to determine best market to penetrate building Tech II capital rigs. I can guess the obvious suspects, but I don't know all the fits out there, so please help me out. Either reply with a rig you commonly see on cap ships, or post a fit you use regularly. Feel free to post your Titan with Capital Signal Focusing Kit for quick survey scanning in belts! Thanks!

The list so far:

Capacitor Control Circuit (carriers, Rorqual)
Trimark Armor Pump (carriers)
Core Defence Field Extender (carriers)
Core Defence Field Purger (carriers)
Semiconductor Memory Cell (carrier)(?)

Cargohold Optimization (Rorqual)

seriously ccc's? semiconductor memory cells give more total cap and by association buff your recharge rate. no idea why people use ccc especially since there are mid/low slots that do the same thing

Tip: People tend to keep the specifics of their capital fits relatively quiet...

Yes, capital CCCs. Jump times don't care about your absolute cap value.

Added semiconductors....would anyone confirm they use them? Big smile

NOTE: You don't necessarily need to post your fit...just give me a ship type and rig type. Thanks!

This^

With your obvious lack of knowledge you may get trolled into building the wrong stuff. Confirmation of one persons comments by another on this forum is less than reliable.

Do your own research.

I recommend gravity cap rigs :P

The T2 capital rigs I use are trimarks, CCCs (on carriers), mem cells (on dreads) and burst aerators.

PS: who the fk puts purgers on a carrier? :S:S:S

^^

if you put purgers on a capital ship you need to biomass now. seriously.

and as said earlier, some doctrines are still hush hush so we really wont say anything about missing rigs on your list. If there in fact are some :)

That's true but it becomes significant in actual combat. I would have have 40k (60%) more cap than you over a given number of t2/t1 semiconducto vs CCC rigs

So; 2x chimera with no fittings other than rigs

2x t2 SCMC + 1x T1 SCMC rig = 110k cap , 99.5gj/s recharge

2x T2 CCC + 1x T1 CCC = 70k cap , 110 GJ/s

With 2x capital energy transfers on

SCMC chimera gets 9 minutes of cap life
CCC chimera gets 6 minutes.

Ad nauseum, identical fittings in a combat scenario favour the SCMC chimera greatly. To the point where if you have more than one carrier you should just get them to remote cap transfer on each other for extra hilarity.

Memory Cells on dreads are definitely valid; the capacitor buffer is more useful than recharge rate against neutralizer pressure while in siege, which is helpful both in PvE (having your Dread neuted out by NPCs sucks) and PvP (Bhaalgorns / Neut Legions).

Re-iterating on the carrier SMC post:

CCC's allow faster cap regen for jump out, as you need relative amount of cap instead of GJ amount. It makes things more convenient in k-space so it's the standard. Wormhole carriers are another ballpark.

On topic: I have been looking for drone control range augmentor II's for my pve carrier. It's a rare need as people generally have their carrier run CCC's just to be able to jump in and refit on call whereas I only use the carrier for ratting. The pricing should be sane though, I haven't a clue what the t2 capital rig material cost is but the price should dip under 200M for me to get interested.
