Still Huge Battlecruiser Market Discounts?

Its been over 6 months since the new battlecruiser features and prices where introduced, as you can see in the charts the prices for Cyclones and Ferox are down while the cost went up, and there was huge volume at the beginning of the cost hike. According to my math, at Jita prices, there is and has been a persistent discount of over 20% for each of these ships, does anyone have any idea for how is this possible? Who is selling at these prices? And we are talking about huge amounts of these ships being sold every day, for over 6 months. They should be trading between 40 and 45 million. Don't get me wrong, I have been buying, but whats the point? It seems like its going to stay like this for odd reasons, can somebody explain?

they were built before the change and therefore their "mineral cost" back then was lower....selling them above their old mineral price (albeit below current price) is still profitable to the original manufacturer.

and there was alot of people that produced thousands of these before the patch that changed the mineral costs. they are still unloading their stock.

I told to some of my contacts to not enter in a thing that would tie their money for years. But no.

Well if the case is that there is still so much old production, then this changes my perspective as to how much excess production capacity there is and how much resources can be employed for this. We are talking about over 3 trillion isk traded just for these two ships since the patch and still counting with what it seems like strong inventories, truly impressive.
