For me it helped shape my career direction.

In college my goal was to do fine art, that's what I was studying.. during this time I played EvE a lot!
EvE's awesome API & dev community/resources gave me the push I needed to get involved
in web technologies, eg) a lottery tracker, corp forums with the api etc; It linked learning with fun for me.

Anyway's, because of EvE I didn't turn up to university on my first day for an art
degree and dropped out to play EvE & make stuff lol. Then about 3 months later I enrolled on a foundation
degree which took me into a full degree in Web Development. Now, one year after
graduation I'm in a comfortable well paid Web Development job and loving it! :)

If it wasn't for EvE, who knows where I would be with my art degree.. or the friends I would have..

What's your story?

Thanks to Eve I don't have to search for a game that I mostly don't play but I can complain and argue about all the time.

Well, In guess then they gotto thank EVE for not having to put up with you?

Thanks to EVE I just skip all the other MMO's, saved me a nice bit of money. Yay!

EDIT: My troll-fu is so strong now, if trolling would make people grow I could touch the moon.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

It taught me that a guy with the name of chribba should allways be trustworthy ....

.. Now i just need to find someone with that name in reall life so he can be my BFF .

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

... and it's probably because he has an app on his phone that alerts him when someone nearby utters his name, same as on the forums. :)

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

So you're saying my phone records sound 24/7 and uses voice recognition to alert me of certain keywords!?! Surely there's no such thing! Twisted

Other then meeting some sound people that is really it.

Well when I say sound what I mean is okay..

When I say okay I mean I tolerate them

By tolerate I mean I would would rather remove my own testicles with a blunt and rusty spoon whilst having Brittany Spears being blasted in my ears and watching all the Twilight Films on endless play them speak to them.

Well I know what I am doing next time I am in Stockholm... Cheers Chribba!

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

i learned alot about market mechanics and human psychology in that regard. Although the eve market is not the same as RL life the same principles apply in a lot of areas. Ultimately it helped me advance in my career really... i even mentioned eve in my last job interview lol. I learned alot ALOT in this game.

I likely would not have ventured to Iceland, were it not for Eve and Fanfest. Having done so, I can honestly say it's one of the places you really should go see with your own eyes if you are able.
