I'll lead off. Videos like the following have made the Navy Omen very popular in the market:

Omen Navy Issue

I have to admit that I haven't seen them that much around the Amarr/Minmatar war zone. The 27 that I placed on market disappeared in under half an hour though. Null sec popular?

My personal favorite has been the Navy Augorer. 65k EHP. 600ish DPS overheated with conflag - and you can overheat for almost two minutes with only three turrets. Two medium neuts. It puts the Phantasm to shame tbh. Lol

I haven't seen a Fleet Issue Scythe in action yet. The Caldari faction cruisers are also quite rare on our side.

I've actually seen the ONIs used pretty frequently by Mirror God and his crew. They make great kiting ships, from what I've seen - they're essentially used as a cruiser sized Imperial Navy Slicer, with the low slots dedicated to damage, tracking+range, and speed. Their extremely light shield tank makes them very vulnerable if they get caught by a fast frigate with web/scram, but with their flight of drones they can sometimes deal enough damage even at short range to make an escape.

Scythe Fleets are basically just better Caracals. They're faster and tankier, and with the inflation of Minmatar LP not at all expensive. I did a stat-by-stat comparison with both the Osprey Navy and the Caracal Navy, and I can't find any reason to use either of those ships over the faster Scythe Fleet, unless you have the insatiable urge to brawl with a missile boat.

Edit: Also, this guy's apparently had a lot of success with an active armor tanked ONI - http://themittani.com/media/solo-pvp-call-wild-omen-navy-issue

I've thought about the navy caracal. It gets great DPS but it's tank is lacking compared to even T1 cruisers. I'm getting 500ish DPS with HAMs but only 37k EHP.

i like the nomen mainly since it has good range, speed and local rep ability. You don't have to commit to a fight if you do everything right, and if you screw up you still have the small neut as last stand. Nice ship for solo frig pilots which want to fly a cruiser from time to time ;)
It basically handles like a large frig if you fit it like that.

Navy vexor is the next faction cruiser i want to try out, but i need heavy drone skills first.

Navy Aug is probably awesome... but i haven't tried it yet. Problem is that probably everybody will think you are bait and come with overwhelming dps to you.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I have a lot of fun with the dual-prop, dual-rep Stabber Fleet Issue. Pretty low dps, but it has excellent damage mitigation, especially against larger ships.

Pretty sure the Nomen is highly highly overrated because of that video

Scythe navy and vexor navy take the cake for me. Aug is kinda cool to.

You can't really make a GOOD kiting rail one but you can make a silly one

Mine has close to 800 dps at 20 including drones. Not really a good ship though

I don't fly it anymore because of the great 6 month plague of SFI's in FW but the SFI is still by far my fave navy cruiser to fly for nothing other than the fact I love it.

I also hate it, because all we saw in amarr for 6 months straight was SFI's blocking out the sun.

Without tracking bonus, not really.

VNI is my favourite, but seems to be kinda hard to get anyone to engage it, forced fights and 1vsSeveral works.

I love the fact that the Amarr have both a kite and brawl ship in the navy cruiser lineup. I've had a lot of success with both ships (Nomen more recently), and love em both. I will hafta say that I like the Naug better just cause it's used less and has WAAAAY more surprise butseks for frigates.

The Navy Omen, obviously, kicks way more ass than it reasonably should, and has been my favorite for a long time.

But I like the new Navy Auguror more. It is a very good balance of cost, fitting, tank and damage output. And with 2 spare highslots it's versatility is simply unmatched.

One of ours, ten of theirs.

I think I sort of like them all.

Except those boring caldari missile hulls

If I had to pick a favorite I'd go with the faction stabber

Fleet Scythe is a sexy nano plaything.

Navy Vexor is meanness personified.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Navy Osprey. I was using it almost a year before the buff, and had been able to get a few other pilots to give it a go. Almost anyone who flew one of my fits never wanted to fly another missile cruiser again!

I did like the pre-change Omen Navy Issue as well.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

Stabber Fleet Issue for close range skirmishing. It offers a balanced package of mobility, tank, damage, and general flexibility in a bite-sized cruiser! Close range skirmishing is where is feels most at home.

The Vexor Navy Issue is a BEAST... offering everything you want and need for good ol' fashioned brawling... provided you show your drones the proper love and care they deserve!
Tank it up, roll right up to someone, and smile as Berserkers or Ogres lovingly tear that poor sob some new holes! Anything sub-cruiser sized and without speed links or implants hates you with a fiery passion of a thousand suns (heavy drones that track better than most blaster frigates? Warrior IIs that go ~4.9 km/sec? Hells yeah!).

The Navy Auguor? Dat tank!! It's a Maller on steroids and then some (RR cruiser gang anyone?)!

Fleet Scythe does it for me.

Reasonable tank and can fit a full rack of 425mm AC's. It has the speed to get you out of trouble as fast as you got into it which is no bad thing either.

You do realize that its not actually better at being an RR cruiser than a navy vexor right?
