One simply grows a pair of gonads, and certainly does walk into null sec. I suppose that is the difference between the sheep and the lions; those that ask, and those that take.

Encouraging noobies to PLEX their way into Solo Null Victory early on are we ??

Stop mining in high sec, you filthy carebear. Just move to an empty 0.0 pocket. If someone comes along, shoot them. Pirate

I was harvesting in null until some recent corp drama removed my access to the POS I was using. Once I have a home in 0.0 again I will return, but til then...

Anyway, it isn't regular griefers which were bumping me, it was a few alliances who are "laying claim" to the ice anomalies in certain systems. I think that it should take sovereignty and combat muscle to lay claim to resources, not a bumping-fit Stabber and a cowardly reliance on CONCORD. Resources in hisec should be free for all unless they're willing to spend the ISK and time to gank or wardec those they want to drive off.

nothing is free for all in eve.
If you can protect something from the people that want to take it then it is yours.
If it is in your hanger it is yours.
everything else is contingent.
have u considered buying your own stabber? they might not think it is so funny if it is their miners being bumped.

Buy a New Order mining permit.

Try talking to the New Order gals and guys in a civil manner, they really are a very cool bunch if you don't start the conversation with with a torrent of aggressive insults and hostile preconceptions.

Ha. I wish it had been New Order.

The ones I dealt with were simply offensive, not reasonable like the New Order folks. Hopefully someone wardecs the people I dealt with, but ice still doesn't seem quite valuable enough to make such a wardec automatically profitable.

Also, I don't know why everyone is talking about being AFK. I was never AFK. I just have never dealt with this tactic before, so I came here for advice after looking up the dev responses.

The way these guys talked, they seem willing to gank a Skiff just for fun, since they scare away most miners with their bumping. I'll bet they'd accept the cost of a Skiff gank as acceptable since their bumper handles the rest. If the bumping tactic wasn't viable, though, I don't think they'd be acting so tough.

If you like the new order maybe joining the new order is the answer? Sounds like these people are filing a false claim on Jame's ice field anyway. they would want to know about these upstarts especially if they are likely to resist /provide a good story and even prettier tears.

A Skiff with speed mods is worth a try.

Also if they are trying to lay claim to the ice, then they must be planning to mine it. Which means they are vulnerable to bumping.
