Remote tracking enhancers and NPC AI

My question is simple.

Does using a remote tracking enhancer on one of your drones result in NPC's only targetting your ship and never the drones?


Many pilots tell me NPC's hate EWAR more then drones and hence if you use ewar to boost your drones you will end up the target and not them. No matter how much i google i cannot find a clearcut answer to this question.

has anyone tested this out? does this tactic work?

I bet if you tested it yourself, you could tell the rest of us. Never heard of a tracking enhancer called EWAR before either, but whatever. I know in level 4s, when i've webbed a sentry drone, the npcs have never switched to the drones. YMMV.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

ill test it myself asap but it will have to wait untill tomorrow.
I figured i'd ask first, hoped somewon already knew the answer.

A TP doesn't pull or keep aggro off the drones.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

In my experience it does, just not too well - it's a weak threat generator. TP+shooting at things usually works, though.

Seems to me it should pull more aggro than using a tracking enhancer.

as far as PvE is concerned, it should pull more aggro than any other ewar, IMO.
