Hey all,

The Mittani Dot Com has the story, which is a great read. But, I'm here to say "daaaaang, that sucks".

Red Frog is a great corp that keeps the wargears turning for everyone. I encourage everyone to use them, and I think now is a great time to utilize their hauling services to bump that wallet back up. Or hell, if you have a few Bil just laying around, throw it in their wallet ><

If you're a Red or Black Frogger reading this - wow, sorry to hear that! You guys are on the (very short) list of corps that I actively try to help out when I see them hauling. Y'know... instead of... shooting at.

I think it was just stolen from their fledgling reimbursement program anyway.

So I doubt their day to day operations will be disrupted much.

I can think of better things to be remembered for...

"I stole from a good natured, group of guys helping other people and not really that huge amount of game wealth" just doesn't inspire giddy notorious feeling giggles why I try to imagine it.

... that being said.. .

... I'd kind of like to own that character if I could get it cheap.

I see no mention of this story on EN24 so it must be a lie.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

How about him giving us a history of the Mittani people.. .. that would be an esoteric subject that would expand our intellectual horizons.

What makes red frog better than a fully collateralised (plus a bit) public courier contract?

Black Frog I understand because it is a more 'specialist' service (eg jump freighter into low or null) but any muppet can do highsec courier hauling.

Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec and nullsec.

Agreed. I break my contracts into slightly over one billion collateral each, literally a few million for fee, and they're done within six hours max.

After reading the article though, the person doing this is kind of a douchbag.

I mean scamming people, ganking people, doing all the funky things EVE has to offer: Its all in good fun and shouldnt be taken personally.


But ******* over your friends like that for no other reason than to be remembered as *that one guy* is pretty low, even if it is a videogame.

There are only a few things in EVE that are actually real, friendships is one of those things.

Best part is, in a few days nobody will even remember this...hope it was worth it.

"I was bored/burntout/spacemad/etc, so I robbed my friends spur of the moment."

Doesn't quite sell Eve as well as the Guiding Hand story does...

Not a bank heist or pyramid scheme. Not an epic AWOX. Not an intricate infiltrate-and-assassinate mission... Not even the basic violence of a purse snatching.

Meh, pretty low level theft from a corp that did nothing wrong to you, but it's eve so that's nothing unusual.

They probably gank miners and afkers for fun on alts while they are afk hauling.

Funny to hear though since I would never read this crap > Mittani Dot Com.

I really don't see the reason for people to be so proud of cheating other people and then running away. Corp security in EVE is a joke and by selling a character (or just claiming you did) you have a perfect way out to get away scot free.

It's not as if a corp thief achieved anything, except to lie to some people who cannot even use body language to analyze him.

This what EVE is all about, it's "harsh", a "sandbox", "don't trust anyone", blah blah BARF...

Players want this...until they are the ones screwed over.

It's why I fly alone. I won't be backstabbed by my "friends"...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...
