Sorry I'm late, all. I just got word about the true stories page CCP was putting on a few months ago. Seems like I missed my opportunity to recount my story via way of that page. So, I figured I'd do it here. Because, I have a story that I think needs to be told. A story probably long since thought lost in obscurity (I also apologize for how badly written it is, just got done with a 14 hour shift and all I want right now is sleep!!!)

My story begins before a great many of you reached these stars. It transpired in a simpler time. A time when capsuleers where still first coming of age. A time before one even knew of tech II. We'd have never even conceived of things like the titans that currently shake our skies.

There were many stories of speculation (which I will not go into, for I do not know the truth of such things) as to how my Corp came to be in the situation I'm about to recount. I am only here to tell you of what I know as fact:

Many of you Veterans will remember my Corp from the very genesis of EVE. The Corp in question is TTI (Taggart). TTI was the first mega Corp in New Eden. We were a magnificent machine in our prime. Pirates respected us (for they needed us and our ability to build them their war machines), most other Corps feared us, governments did our bidding... We wielded true power where ever we went. Nothing was out of our reach! It was magnificent. So, when we got word that a very rare Jovian artifact had come into the possession of a New Edenite, we of course asked the gentleman "how much?".

He reluctantly parted with his priceless artifact for mere pennies. TTI bought it with the idea of holding onto it until it's scientist's could reverse engineer it and then mass produce it. Needless to say, the tirelessly meddlesome Jovians got word of our little pet project and were none too happy about it.

So they arranged a meeting with our CEO (Ragnar). They advised him to come alone. To a system some 60+ jumps away (this is before our mass-transit system we all enjoy today)... A great many of us in the upper echelons of TTI got word of this meeting. But I was the only one reckless enough to follow him deep into M3G4 space (a rat Corp that kept trying to insist is wasn't). I couldn't stand idly by while our CEO was lured into the lions den by the Jovians. So, I outfitted my Mega (love that ship to this very day!) and followed Ragnar to the designated meet system. I snuck in system and waited patiently behind a distant moon.

It was a long wait. Seemed like an eternity. But then it happened! The first Jovian signature popped... then another... then another! It was a whole fleet of the elusive bastards! They systematically came through and removed every capsuleer from the system (peaceable... And not so peaceable), until they scanned me down. To this day, I still don't know what stayed their hand? Why they let me live? Why, when the terms of their arrangement had been shattered by my presence... Why they just didn't take the artifact by force and leave us empty handed? But I guess that's what makes a Jove a Jove, lol!

They let me stay. I witnessed the transaction. The Jovian gladly took back their powerful artifact... and in return handed our CEO the very first tech II BPO in existence! It was the tech II mining laser (that gets me excited, because I will ALWAYS be a miner)!!!

And then, just like that, the Jove were gone!

Needless to say; we were deep in M3G4 space and it was just me, Ragnar and his bodyguard against a wall of confused and pissed off M3G4 Corp members. We were pinned down for close to 8 hours before an extraction squad could make it's way to M3G4 territory... Somehow they pulled it off. We made it out because the extraction squad created two different diversions in M3G4 space in two different sectors. Effectively dividing their forces and giving us the opportunity to escape unhindered with the BPO! Those brave men and women...

Of course, we knew that if word got out that the most powerful mega Corp in all of EVE suddenly showed up with the first tech II BPO in the whole of New Eden... Well, lets just say: people already hated us... So, of course we hired a small up-and-coming production Corp to mass produce the lasers and distributed them to the general public...

Very few people know the truth of what happened that day. Many call me crazy (too many clone upgrades... maybe they have made me cenial), some call me a liar. That is ok. I know it happened. Who knows, maybe the powers that be will see this transmission and erase it from the grasp of the void itself? But this story is the core of my EVE. This story is why I ALWAYS come back to EVE! Why I'll continue to come back to EVE as long as we both shall live!

I remember this story, and your corporation.

Good to see you around.

I've heard of this before, and am also quite glad to see that TTI people are, in fact, still around.
