These are DED and signature sites you talk about, not anomalies. Carriers can't enter them. A dominix can probably clear a 7/10 and 8/10 with skills and if you know what you are doing. But after that you will need more tank to solo them. I myself use a rattlesnake for those, works nice. A battleship is your best option for the sites because of MJD, large capacitor and big ehp buffer.

Most sites will have web towers which means you can't get speed with a cruiser and if you aren't prepared to tank everything your buffer will not hold. DIfferent story with T3 ships such as a tengu, as they tank crazy. But T3s are vulnerable to neutralizing towers and may also have problems with web towers, especially if you using the higher DPS short range weapons.

Another thing to note is that some 8/10 and 10/10 sites have in them bosses and structures that have crazy tank. You need to kill them for the loot. Some need 2 strong dps ships to even crack the tank, 3 if you want to manage in a reasonable time. Most people that talk about "soloing" those are actually running more then 1 account to do them.

Yes, those in the link are anomalies. Those you don't need to scan.

Signatures are those that you scan. They can either be mini-profession sites, WH or combat site.

Combat sites split into 2:
DED sites and escalating sites

DED sites used to be static complexes that were ranked by difficulty. Hence 5/10, 6/10, 7/10... These sites will have a loot drop at the end of the site from a boss or a structure. These are the most valuable sites.

Escalating sites are usually as difficult as the DED sites, except for the reward you need to go though a chain of them with increasing escalations. There is always a chance you will not get an escalation so they aren't seen as lucrative as the DED sites with a guaranteed reward. You get escalation by killing the boss or a structure or whatever depending on a site. Or you don't get it and don't get anything worth while either since only the bosses in the very last site at the end of the escalation chain drop anything. They also make you fly between systems alot since every escalation can be up to 8 jumps (iirc) for the site that gave it.
