There is nothing to disagree with you about. You make no claims or points. It is as you say, you are all about your sig or about arguing for the sake of arguing even if you have no point.

Simple question to get back on point. Do we we have inflation in Eve over the last year?

Doesn't matter in this case. Inflation is a general increase in prices, and by any reasonable measure prices have been falling this past year, so the answer is no.

Considering the PVE rewards aren't adjusted for infation I think it's pretty terrible. it's not just plex prices either. Remember when you could buy a thorax hull for only 4m?

People who say inflation is an increase in the supply of isk are totally wrong; inflation is a general increase in the price of goods and services. You can certainly make an argument that an increase in the supply of isk is a cause of inflation, though.

Don't touch the isk inflation vs monetary inflation and similar, because you'll call here all the self made economist primadonnas following the corresponding famous "economics schools" in RL.

Inflation is a word. it can describe few things :)
And you are right, people who confuse both the terms, are what makes this threads ******...

Brilliant.

Inflation is a general increase in prices. If prices are not increasing, it cannot be inflation.

Monetary inflation is too many dollars chasing too few goods. While there may be "too many" isk in Eve, it does not follow that there are "too few" goods or that the isk is "chasing" them. My isk certainly isn't chasing anything.

The answer is yes but it is not in an orderly fasion. It spikes and ebs either side of a reasonable rate. A reasonable rate is what the economist that works for CCP wants. Actually CCP has employed several economists. When you see a spike in market price it almost always subsides after a while so you can not just take a snap shot of a market price one day without putting it into propper context over time. They actually discuss all of this inflation at great length at the fanfest every year and you can find those videos on youtube.

You can get a much better understanding of how inflation works in game by watching those videos and how CCP attempts to control that inflation. Its all there already for you. You really do not have to find the answers in the forum here. Nobody in the forums will be as good a source as the source itself is anyway. Go right to the economist presentation and find your answer its not like they attempt to hide this info from you either. They record it and place it on you tube, every year is still avaiable for your viewing pleasure.

And yet completly not contributive to the thread...

OMG look: Inflation - extremely rapid exponential expansion of the early universe.

So yeah its a word, it can describe quite few things. But for OP's question, people usually confuse both the terms that are relevant for us (inflation and monetary inflation).

We both know the difference.
You stating it didn't help a bit.

Good job though!
