I would still love to gank the Veldnaught, compliant or not.

Given Chribba's shareholder status, it would be a rogue action, not an official New Order sanctioned miner euthanization.

I seem to remember the last time someone wardecd him/tried to kill the veldnaught. I also remember the massive amount of pvp corps that rallied to his defence.

In that case, it would probably be people who disagree with New Order that would actually kill Chribba's Veldnaught. Technically, whomever helps New Order by giving them money or investing into their bussiness models, deserves exactly that. Death and suffering.

Ironic it would be, if it was regular miners that would be responsible for the demise of the fabled Veldnaught.
Ironic, yet justified. Veldnaught being an affront to all miners everywhere if it is openly supporting people who actively kill miners.

Ganking the Veldnaught has been proposed many times, and it's always ruined because Chribba (despite being a disgusting carebear at heart) is a really, really ridiculously nice person, a pleasure to deal with and a bro among bros.

That being said- I'd still try and kill the damn thing though.

Right. 99% of Providence is really nice people too, that doesn't seem to stop you from going there to kill people. Just admit it, you're a wuss. You wouldn't want to eat **** for two decades for being the person who initiated the Veldnaught demise, not from your own people or your enemies.

Any group of people that organized to kill the veldnaught (you'd need a bunch of people) would be filled with spies and saboteurs most likely.

To say it would be a messy operation would be a huge understatement.

I think Chribba would accept the ganking of the Veldnaught with quiet dignity and maybe even have a chuckle about it. A carebear would respond with foaming at the mouth rage and RL life death threats. Thus, Chribba cannot be a disgusting carebear. QED.

What about that time some small no-name alliance tried to invade his 0.0 system? I remember Goons and the flavor-of-the-month bad guys were in a massive supercap fight and put it on hold to defend his system for him, along with high sec mercenaries, carebears, and pirates from all walks of life.

Don't **** with Chribba, because it'll rile up the wasps.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

I wonder if a real assault on the veldnaught would draw a bigger turnout than the million frig death-march vs Nyx fight?

Heck I'd love to see it worked out like the caldari titan live event ;)

If a dev is listening maybe an ore veldnaught story line with pirate factions sworn to stop it at all costs. Throw some serp and guri skinned dred NPCs out and watch the fun ;)

Just a point, you cannot wardec Chribba to get to the veldnaught. If under a wardec or wardec activation timer, undocking a cap ship will lead to its removal to high sec. Chribba would know this and not make such a mistake.

The only way would be a gank trap. Given that a revaluation with no mods and no skills has a base total of a little above 546,000, and a tornado does about 12000 per volley and will get only one shot off (i think it's a 1.0 or .9 sec system), you'll need a minimum of 46 tornados. Add in an active DC2, the number of tornados climbs to 73 tornados or so.

I am at work, but I have a feeling, even with minimal tank effort, this number would climb to over a hundred easily. If Chribba saw local spike by 100, he would probably dock. It still may be possible, but this woukd be a tough challenge in general.

Top end number is 13.3m EHP, requiring around 1400 Tornados (not necessarily 1400 people though, it doesn't take much bumping to keep a Dread from warping).

He has specifically stated that if any team managed to gank the Veldnaught, he's congratulate them. He certainly did that for the crew who popped his T3 salvage ship; I'm inclined to take him at his word. Blink
