Do items like Quafe or other trade goods fit in any of the new cargo-holds the new haulers?

If not, why not?

Trade goods count as general cargo. The new specialized cargoholds are just that - specialized for certain types of cargo (ore, minerals, planet/moon materials, ammunition).

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

How about nothing at all?

For the record, there is one capable of transporting Quafe in particular:

For only Quafe, there are several "special edition" Miasmos(es), the new name of the old Iteron Mark IV, but be prepared to pay quite a lot for them ...

I'm still saving for a Miasmos Quafe Ultramarine Edition, but with a 3billions+ price tag, I'll have to run a lot more Incursions Shocked

For general hauling of trade goods, can't beat the "new, improved" Bestower :

Lows :

Mediums :

This gives you a cargo hold of 42.685m³ with Amarr Industrial 5, you can stuff 14 Giant Secure Containers in there for 12.600m³ of additionnal hauling ... enough PG and CPU to fit a Cloak and 10MN MWD for the "MWD trick" too.

The tank will be laughable tough, but that's not what you ask of such a ship and fitting Bear.

Even with T1 rigs you get 50k of space with 13 GSCs

PS, Some medium shield extenders in the mids might go down a treat as well. Even if you do still die (most likely) at least you KM will look like you tried (in vain).

I'm curious why general goods even exist, except maybe that quafe ultra that gives the boosts. They really serve no purpose except for people to see that you had strippers/prostitutes/drugs/alcohol/slave/preferred generally illegal item here.

They're probably a holdover from the early days of EVE, when there had to be an NPC economy in addition to the player economy because the player base wasn't large enough to sustain the entire economy the way it can these days.

It's introductory arbitrage. It's the L1 mission equivalent for trading noobs.
