This post is not about bashing anyone but rather asking for whatever help I can get.

So. I am having some connection issues lately. They usually start around 18:00 EVE time up till 23:00. Within that time I get disconnected roughly 3 times in 30 minutes.

As I did some research I found the Tranquility's IP address and decided to do some tracing to see if it's my networks problem so here is screenshot from PingPotter.

That's all data I got from 1 hour of tracing where I got around 7 disconnections.

I forwarded the port I found yet it did not change a thing.

My connection is roughly 20Mbi/s download and 1Mbi/s upload according to speed test.
My Laptop's spec:
Dell XPS 15 with Intel i5-2410M, 6GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M, Windows 7 64bit.

When I did all the testing I used cable not WiFi just to make it clear.

I have no idea what is causing this issue since I have never had any problems with any other MMO or online game in general so I hope someone could help me with this because playing around those hours is pretty impossible.

I would file a petition on the issue or a bug report as that contains personal information i might wanna remove that link before someone tries to do something bad.

This is my gate. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My gate is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my gate is useless. Without my gate, I am useless.

Made a petition about this but seems like support does not know why it keeps happening. Now I realized that it is not only peak time of EVE but all the way through. Even thou PingPlotter seems to say that there is no issue with connection I keep getting frequent disconnects all the time. Game has become unplayable at the moment.

Have been google'ing for solutions for quite a while now and the only thing I found was about disabling Checksum Offload for the network adapter but that didn't change a thing. Have tried various settings for router but that does not seem to help at all.

Might try to reinstall EVE but I doubt that it will help. Anyone has an idea what could be the problem?
My network adapter: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

The EVE client uses relatively little bandwidth compared to many modern games.
However, it is very sensitive to the quality, rather than the speed, of the network connection.
That is to say, if you experience erratic ping fluctuations (deviations greater than 20% of average ping, for example) this can be a sign of an unstable connection; if the EVE client detects packet loss it will often take this to be a sign of no longer being connected to the server.

The first solutions to try are simple hardware ones - if you are on wifi, move closer to your router, or remove obstructions on the way, or even better, if possible, plug in with an ethernet cable.
If you are already using a wired connection, try using a shorter cable to increase signal quality.

Past that, you may want to see if you have many connections active on your computer - while it isn't advertised openly, some routers can have issues in that they can only support a small number of connections simultaneously - in some cases just 32 or lower.
To find how many connections you currently have active, go to:

start > programs > accessories, then rightclick the command prompt and run as administrator.

In the command prompt you can type without quotes "netstat -a" to get a list of current connections and "netstat -b" to find out which executables (programs) are using them.

Of course this is all pretty basic as far as diagnostics go but it can give you an idea as to where to start looking. They key to a stable EVE client is a stable connection with as little packet loss and ping fluctuation as possible.

If you are using Mcaffe or Norton internet security, put them on gaming mode or turn off

I'm not sure but I might have fixed it my self. Checked my startup programs and threw out the ones I don't need and haven't got a disconnect since. Thanks IonCharge that "netstat -a" made me realize that I have ton of active connections running that are not supposed to be there in first place.
