An idea for how missions work

So I was thinking of ways to improve how missions in EVE work. I came up with a few ideas to make them more fun (however, I feel doing so will drop the income per hour one can make from these, but hey, level 4s make to much anyways)

First. Lets change add more interaction to missions (or at least to some missions). An example being:

Agent: Ferahgo! We just got a distress signal from a high end political convoy, we need you to get to their location now. You have the fastest ship in the system, we'll have back-up arrive as soon as possible to help you.

Accepting the mission you undock and head to the mission encounter. Arriving, you encounter the convoy, but it is empty. You move closer to the ship to examine it. As you get closer, bright flashes start lighting up around you as you notice npc's being cyno'd in. In seconds you are surrounded by what looks like hundreds of npcs ranging from frigates to battelships.

Instantly you are locked, pointed, webbed and jammed. A box appears, the agent you had just talked to is the one sending you a message.

Evil Commander: We have been waiting for you Ferahgo. Patiently waiting, while you killed our brethren, to get you at the most opportune time. Enjoy death.

The npcs let loose their missiles, your tank melts quickly. You hit hull and about to bash your keyboard for ever accepting this mission. When you notice your hull isn't going down. In fact your armor and shield seem to be going up slowly. You look around quickly and notice a group of npcs 60km off RRing you. A new box appears.

Agent: Ferahgo! I just saw the influx of Guristas appear in local! Your back-up should be arriving any second! I sent in some of our elite logistics to keep you alive. You must lead fellow comrades in this battle!

You close the message box. You are almost to 50% armor and shields now. Then you see it. More friendly npc's warping in around you/the enemy force. The mass majority of the enemy fleet unlocks you and starts on your new allies.

In local: Agent: Ferahgo, lead us to victory!

You are now in command of the "fleet" (not really a fleet, but its meant to look like it) You are taking damage from a small percentage of the enemy force (Roughly Worlds Collide amount of damage). You can broadcast primaries/secondaries/tertiaries and your entire "fleet" will primary them in that order.

Your friendly npcs are not invulnerable, they will die as easily as your enemies. You must act carefully and decide what npcs need to die. Should you get your friendly npcs to help kill the ones shooting you? Shooting them? Which ones exactly? A battleship? A logistics? Ect.

They will also cry for repairs. You can use the few logistic ships you have to either repair them if you think your tank can hold, or keep them on you if not.

The point of this particular mission to help the pilot become better at commanding a large fleet. It's not meant to be perfect, but I feel missions should be more engaging and in a way, educational.

The enemy npcs will not have bounties, nor drop any items. There are just way to many, and would simply give to much isk if they did. Instead the mission reward would be sizeable, around 15 million for 20 minutes of work. Or some amount, based on how long one perceives this mission to last.

Have other ideas on other missions, but would like to see where people stand on this.

Also, I would like to see missions be giving in an epic arc sort of way. Where you have to move from agent to agent, in a some what flowing way. Get people moving around the game, breathe new life into somewhat dead systems.

I prefer real people.......

You are describing a single-player game.

There are interesting ideas in what you write. I'd have nothing against improving the missions.
But as the guy above said, the best way to make missions fun is to run them with other people.

You should run an incursion before posting about such things.

It would be enough to make mission rats harder and stronger but much fewer in numbers.
And make them consistent with ships they fly. Why machariels shoot missiles at me? Why drone boats don't use drones? Why industrials are locking me when they have nothing to use at me? Why can't I use neuts and ecm on them? Why they don't have webs fitted?
