Possibility Of Holiday-Themed Expansion?

Lots of other WoW-clones do these, why not E.v.E.? I'd love it if CCP dedicated the winter expansion to Christmas/Kwanza/Hannukah-themed missions and events that were added in for a month or so and then removed after New Years. I think the devs are wasting some serious potential if they don't run with this idea.

I don't think anything based on Judeo-Christian concepts would survive the thousands of years of galactic dark ages as outlined in the lore.

Belief in a monotheistic entity doesnt mean the amarr are judeo-christian hold overs.

As to holiday themed expansions, I support a biomassing celebration and attendant missions and so on. OP should start these first, we'll watch and celebrate.

For my 2c, ploughing a lot of work into creating content that is at best forced and gimmicky, at worst immersion breaking and tacky, is a waste of time. EVE focuses less on created content with developers controlling your experience ("themepark" MMO) and more on providing tools to create content with and allowing you to control your own experience ("sandbox" MMO).

Well, maybe it's up to us players to organize a nice holiday event. Have Sansha Claus visit everyone.

Get a nightmare + nine Phantasms, ride through space and shoot absolutely everyone in the face, for instance. And sing something along the lines of :

"You better get safe,
You better log out,
Better insure your crap and really watch out
Sansha Claus is coming to town!
He's making a list,
And checking it twice,
But doesn't give a damn who's been naughty or nice,

On a more serious note than singing, those events already exist - one happened very recently, being the NPSI Vile Rat memorial day (during which regions of the CFC became a free-for-all and "blue" didn't mean crap. Shoot blues, tell Vile Rat!) our favorite new tradition we're trying to bring to the masses: the annual Burn Jita day.

If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming.

Thats a good point, player run seasonal events/holidays are the way to go - and I do enjoy those you listed!

If the OP wants a christmas themed something, he should put it together, as obviously he didnt like my idea of:

Universal Biomass Day. Celebrating those who give up their immortality so their fellow pod pilots do not have too.
