Faction Damage Controls

I think you are missing the point. This idea looks great on a T1 ship. However, on a T2 ship it becomes rediculous. Let's look at the hawk. Current resist profile for shield 0/80/70/50. After adding a minmatar DC it becomes 31/80/70/60. A 31 percent gain in it's weak point at the cost of a low slot. The hawk is my favorite ship and I would be in heaven if it got Minny T2 resists

as others above have said, to easy to manipulate resists.

how you would work each races t2 ships
gallente - amarr dc + 1 or 2 resist rigs
minmatar - gallente dc + 1 or 2 resist rigs
caldari - minmatar dc + 1 or 2 resist rigs
amarr - caldari dc + 1 or 2 resist rigs

too easy to manipulate, no support here, sorry mate.


damage controls give smallish bonuses to shield and armor, using the hawk in eft with a t2 em rig and t2 damage control I see 43.1 em, 82.5 therm, 73.8 kin, and 56.3 exp. with a "faction" dc I wouldn't bet on em resists going above 45%, and a slight bump to therm, with lesser kin/exp resists.

a t2 damage control gives 12.5% to all shield resists, I'm thinking the op means for the minny dc to give 15 em 13 therm 11 kin 11 exp or so (numbers pulled out of my arse, but it wouldn't be hard to make a spreadsheet for actual numbers).

a pure 31% resist bonus just doesn't seem in the spirit of damage controls at all, and without stacking penalty, it just seems wrong.

**** it, I did a short spreadsheet, a minny dc would give 16.67 em, 13.33 therm, 8.88 kin, and 11.11 exp based on the resists on a jaguar. and assuming the resists are applied proportionally to the total resist. bringing the hawk's resists to 45.8/82.67/72.67/55.56

i got the impression the idea was a small change in favour of two damage types at the expense of the other two damage types. in which case i think it would be fine as a module for evening things out a bit. It doesnt need to be more powerful than a T2 DC in anyways, just specialised and more expensive.

i dnt know where i sit on the specialised hull resists tho.

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats
