New Launcher Sucks, Revert everything to where it was yesterday.

point 1:
someone at ccp failed at quality controll ! gee whats new some still rememer boot.ini why do we wanna use a loader that takes 5-15sec to do nothing new when the old exe was close to instant?

point 2:
advertising other products/plex in a pay 2 play game

this is the one thats pissing me off the most, i dont wanna load up xxx amounts of cruddy commercial pictures showing what i should buy before i can get into the ******* game, shape up ffs we do pay for the ability to play so trying to wring more money out of us is poor customer service in the extreme

a simple patcher that pops up only when needed and ability to click eve icon and get my game up inside a normal time without having to wait for the server to play with itself to check updates, new commercialls and abuse the hdd to checksum the files at will is that to much to ask?

point 3:
keep your focus on providing the game not the craptacular extra features

point 4:
enabling torrents every time you change the patcher(blackholes my connection due to isp blocking)

-Like I run 5 clients on two monitors. Main client has everything on max and is Windowed (Maximized). Other four are lowest settings and sized to fit all four on the second monitor.

+I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO EXIT OUT OF THE MAIN ONE LAST OR THE SETTINGS GET ALL DICKED UP! Because the game only "remembers" the last client settings.

Side note, but related to launcher. When are we going to see an EVE Online Authenticator options...preferably using Google Authenticator...not some game-specific app like Blizzard's, SWTOR's, or RIFT's.

Really would like to not have such a long-ass password.


PS: CCP, you really need to explain why when I click on the "EVE TV" button the Latest News section 'jerks' as it opens (or closes). That transition should be snappy.

Fully agree that the new launcher sucks, in addition to the issues mentionned above it will not terminate meaning I have to kill the process via taskmanager in order to restart EVE.
How can such rubbish make it to production? Seriously?

New day same old launcher issues. Can we please just go back to the old one?

Its painstaking to even switch chars on the same account. You have to launch the client all over again...... idiotic.

I have noticed that the new launcher does not close when the game closes.
It remains in the processes list and prevents running the launcher again...
(It just adds more "launcher" processes but no windows pops up)

CCP pulled an Arena Net on us with this launcher. Reminds me of GW2. Bring back the login screen CCP! You have done it for ten years and you have a lot of people wanting it back. We pay your salaries and your bills so don't forget that.

New launcher is rubbish. It doesn't remember either account names, and I can't paste my password in so have to key it every time.

Don't know if it's just my machine but there is no 'log off' button in the Esc menu now either, so the game has to be quit and relaunched.

I've reset the caches but it's still dogs b@lls.


So frustrating, coming up to 4 years playing this game and just wonder who you are trying to engage with, people who don't mind keying their account names EACH time they launch, and keying their password because they enjoy that crap too.

It was just found that, at least for the Mac, you can select your password saved in a text file and drag and drop it into the password field of the launcher.

Does this work on a PC?

Which launcher version are you running? Are you starting the launcher with administrator privileges? Are you starting the launcher from a shortcut that you pinned to the taskbar?

This is indeed something that is pretty annoying. While launching the game through the launcher there is no log off button anymore. The game needs to be quit completely and launched again to swap to an alt.

Launching from the *.exe file itself does not present this problem.

Joining in to say that the launcher is terrible. No one in my corp or alliance seems to like it.

The launcher has resulted in problems for probably 30% or more of us and has provided no benefit.

I hate the new launcher also. I have multiple accounts and it wastes a lot of my time. Why ruin EVE? I'm not playing to see the EVE news and special deals. I want to click a shortcut and login as fast as possible. Please stop doing things like this or I will quit and play a game I can actualy play instead of watching the validate client bar fill up.

I hate the launcher. A simple solution would be to give us the option to
opt out of the launcher and rock it old school.

and btw this last patch killed my eve installation, I had to reinstall.
