Dev Blog: A New Live Event for July

I'm forced to say this reminds me a lot of the Shirts for the New Eden Open.. remember that event held almost a year ago ? Everyone who participated was supposed to get a unique shirt, but that still hasn't happened yet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I participated. I enjoyed finding the places (well except for that WH, that was several hrs of my life I'll never get back lol). The prizes/gifts are secondary to that, and in the grand scheme not significant to me. But with that said, it just leaves a sour taste that you do the event, are promised something, and then are strung along for weeks or months.

Perhaps in the future, if you aren't ready to deliver, don't say you will. And then if you do decide to give out ships, or items, to people that participate, then in a week, or month, or so, down the road, they can log in to a pleasant surprise.

Maybe it's not really over... ah ha! When I unscrambled the rules it spells out the name of a system, a planet, a moon and a force field password! What is this? All the unawarded zephyrs, probe launchers and implants! I'm the grandest winner of them all!

Oscha wakes up with his face planted on keyboard from waiting. His speakers buzz of a downtime booting and a text field repeats "ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff" endlessly.

Yeah you're absolutely right - I muddied the line between soonTM and overcommitment, and learned the lesson so many do that it's just better to leave things unclear until you're past the point of no return!

Deploying non-critical stuff on a Monday isn't really the done thing. Tuesday would have been good but unavoidably didn't happen. I am delighted to say that the script works on my machine, so pending some further testing today I think we're looking good for SoonTMnomadpls.

I can't redeem my precious Zephyr, although I finished tier 1 of the Image Contest.

I double checked if I missed any of the rules or targets, but I couldn't find any mistakes: http://imgur.com/a/LltLg#0

Apparently I did something wrong in tier 3, since I didn't get the Low-Grade 'Virtue' Alpha implant. Can anyone please tell me where I failed? http://imgur.com/a/l23fw
