Thinking about starting a alt character.

So I'm thinking about making a alt. but there's so many different ways. Some people say go with the buddy program. The others say go with the side kick program. Then some people say go buddy program + pick up a starter box from here http://www.markeedragon.com/catalog/buyEve_Online_Commissioned_Officer_Edition.html

advice ?

You should go buddy+ special offer from CCP web site. When u will want to upgrade trial account in the account managment page you should see a special offer button, which is the same thing as u've linked. You should choose one of Starter Packs (Caldari,Ammar,Minmatart,Gallente) and take one of reliable months subscription. It was like 30$ for 3 months, u can go with cheaper one if u want so.

If you can wait until next month the CE will have a key for 60 day new character. Makes the CE a bit more attractive if you subtract the $20+ from what you would be spending on an alt account. On the other hand there will be a number of players with extra 60 day account keys on their hands, and while I think there might be a TOS/RMT issue about selling them, I don't think there are any issues about giving them to friends or corp mates. I personally don't need another account so I'll probably give it to my roommate who will most likely only log on a few times out of idle curiosity.
