After several years of playing this game mostly PVE I decided to try out Faction Wars on some alts - a little guided pvp I figured. I read the materials, watched the videos, built cheap ships to start... and got insta-wiped by veteran pirates/pvp'ers who jump into FW plexes like drunk fishermen to a stocked trout pond. I built better ships, and got insta-wiped by veteran pirates. I tried different locations. Different ships. Different levels. I've had a little success but it's rare - because I'm not fighting faction wars - I'm fighting veteran pirates/pvp'ers wherever I turn. Sometimes within seconds, literally seconds, of arriving in a system and jumping straight into a plex, i'm up against a seven year pvp vet in a 90 M T2 ship. It's not FW. It's donate my ships to whatever gank happy pirate happens to see me pass by. They flock to systems that are good for LP. You go to them and the 'unallied' outnumber FW players 5 to 1... in obscure low-sec systems. You go hopping by one that's not in FW and it's usually empty. Ganker vets know that plenty of FW players are PVP noobs and they seem to relish easy kills over actual fights in their caliber.

Ganker vets don't belong in FW plexes. FW players do. We could then team up, solo, fight, win some, lose some. We'd be fighting each other for side, pride and LP. We'd be within spitting distance of each other's skills.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what are you suggesting.
Is it a suggestion to forbid pilots that aren't members of FW entities from entering plexes? I'm pretty sure there was a ton of threads like this and also I believe I can already think of number of reasons this change won't achieve anything.

Sounds like an lvl-X agent sends you into a pre-descovered and scanned down W.H. space that is locked for only a specifc key that the agent has copies of. Waough did i just kick the nasal bone of the regular gamer-parasite into its SKULL!!!

Just fly a cap stable stabbed incursus and fly out after you see someone on shortrange Dscan. This is the way FW learns its peeveepee. It is very exciting and new.

Actually FW plexes is exactly where they belong, FW is not PVE it's wannabe pvp.
That is intended.

I dunno it kind amakes sense that only FW enlisted players should be allowed into the plexes.

It does not make sense that only FW players go to plexes. This is a sand box. Just like I can get ganked mining by someone who doesn't mine. Or end up in combat when running a sleeper site. Its part of the game.

AKA the scientist.

Well fun is also good.

GlueShooz, FW is PVP. All you need to do is to learn the mechanics. If you dont want to fight, you can fit a cloak, you can fit stabs, you can just stay 100km away from the warp gate entry point etc. If you want to fight, you need to fit your ship properly and know which ships you can fight and which not. The gates are restricted. Sorry, but i can only tell you this. If you want PVE, go lvl4 missions in highsec.

Why?

Pirates in your FW complexes generates conflict.

If your not willing to FIGHT in a faction WAR.... then go play Hello Kitty online.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

CCP has a word for people like you. Let's see which ones get censored, shall we: *****, pussy, crybaby.

They made a video back in the day just for children like you, here's a link:

I do not support this. I'm in Faction Warfare and neutrals both break up the monotony of things and offer many of us extra targets to shoot.

The only change that should be made is that the beacons only show on the overview if you're in FW. If not, you should have to probe/dscan people down, like everywhere else.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Snowflake alert is sounding. This stuff has come up before and plenty of reasons why there doesn't need to be a change. There's nothing broken so there is no need for a solution.

This idea has got merit. Doesnt eliminate other people from entering but at least makes it slightly harder.

Since the premise of the idea is pirates and/or roamers (gankers are more an empire thing) are killing the op we see why its needed. If they are killing him, its looking like not enough of the enemy faction are out and about to do it.

Poof...no non FW in plexes. No enemy faction around. And there is the FW running safe low sec pve content. Hello isk faucet made worse.

Its the pirates and roamers who are an added check and balance to the flow of lp/isk. Welcome to life out of empire.
