How long a timer are you thinking ?

What do you think should happen if two people, from corps that are at war with each other, are fighting in high sec and one of them gets kicked from corp during the fight ?

Fine instead of having it at the corp level, why not enable/disable friendly fire like people turn on and off duel requests in their general settings menu's.

Right Click > Quit Corp

The 24 hour rule needs fixed before it can happen. Otherwise this is an idea I can get behind.

In my own opinion there should be a way to get rid of the awoxes right away even if they are in space or what ever but control over ships no.

Kill them, pod them and kick them from corp
Dock up and quit corp

Both prevent them from killing anyone in your corp.

Implication of "disabling AWOXing" feature notwithstanding, what would be the reason of ever turning it "off"? And if there's no reason, why do we ever need a switch? You could just as well suggest to remove hisec AWOXing completely. And then you know for sure how people would react Smile

Take an AWOXer who is:
- More experienced at PvP than the rest of the corp.
- Can reliably run/safe up and cloak when the corp gathers enough people in one system to threaten him.
- Can warp his pod away when his ship gets hit. Remember, we are talking high sec here, getting your pod out is easy.
- Has an alt and/or friend to help him replace lost ships.
- Stays logged in and in space the whole time. Including AFK cloaking, just to prevent being kicked.
- Logs in quickly after downtime, while corp leadership have work/sleep just after DT.

How can he be removed from the corp ?
To catch him after downtime requires someone in corp leadership to skip out on important real life things just to have an attempt at logging in and hitting kick before the AWOXer logs in. But that's not guaranteed, especially if timezone differences mean the corp leaders are tired while the AWOXer is not.


In saying that, I am against any kicking from corp while in space. Partially because of potential problems it causes, partly because an instant kick would do nothing against the initial AWOX attack and partly because it would lessen encouragement towards the one thing that does the most against AWOXing: Examining a characters history before letting it into corp.

Which is why I like setting a flag so that the member will be kicked when they next dock or disconnect without needing the corp leadership to have anyone online at that time. It doesn't have the problems that an kick in space would, but it also means that once the corp leadership wants someone gone they know that the person will be removed without having to rearrange their real life activities.
Plus the AWOXer still gets some time to do damage to the corp.

There were two options listed. (Should have been three, since I'd forgotten "wait for DT" but you still missed 50% of the options listed.)

If you can't kill them, wait until DT.
If they're willing to stick around to log in right after DT, grab someone in your corp who's willing to do the same and give them the roles to kick them.

Otherwise, abandon ship. Learn from your mistakes.
