Hisec is safe... unless you fly a ~60 billion ISK Navy Raven

OK, so what's the point of having theseships if you cant fly it and show it off in hi-sec?

Modules give you an advantage in a task, it is up to you to weigh whether the risk of that advantage is worth the reward of increased performance. When you over bling a ship to the point where it gives no meaningful advantage in such task such as over stacking or over active tanking then you create risk without reward. To put it another way having an over swollen **** is useless if you can't **** her with it.

These modules are meant to be used, if you have over expensive bling you don't need, leave it in the hanger. Take screen caps to show it off safely, you can peacock it all you want in space, just don't be surprised when a hunter shoots and stuffs your bird.

Just made some maths... @550 million per PLEX, we're talking about spending the equivalent to 1,600 euros in a ship + 900 in bounties. Kinda outrageous for some space pixels. Shocked

Pertty much this. It's what happens when real life value can be calculated through what it'd cost to replace using an in game method of purchasing ISK.

In this case, the guy was mugged of [if the quote is correct] 1,600 Euros. Ever heard the saying: dont fly what you can't afford to lose? Well, that goes for everyone -10 euros everytime you lose 300m isk. Can everyone afford to just throw 10 euros on pixels?

Clearly a group of players, delighted in stripping this guy of 1600 euros. Wonder if they'd grin from ear to ear if a misc bank transaction took 35 euros of all party members involved and deposited it back to said carebear.. interesting thought..

It doesn't quite work like that though, considering I can "make" $20 by going into hi-sec with some alts and AFK mining while I do house chores for the day.

Except the SNI is nowhere near as efficient as the RNI for Lvl 4 PVE.

The only reason why that Raven cost 60 bil was because of what players will pay for those modules.

We are the players.

So we are the ones responsible for that Raven costing that much.

It's dumb all around.

Now the question I think of is, were there so much intended botting and nullsec ratting in carriers expected that such a ship would be possible?

So that a ship, the hull costing less than 1 billion, can be equipped to the level of costing 60 billion, is an indication that nullsec may be in need of a loot nerf.

Strangely enough, too much ISK in the game creates the potential for these modules to cost so much, but these modules create the incentive to have so much ISK in the first place.

Thus I would also suspect that being able to NOT engage the Sansha Mothership in highsec incursions and just grind away should also be addressed.

I have to say, makes me smile that I know and went to school with 2 of the guys that pulled that off.

Herzog - absolutely agree - we the players made that ship what it was and now we are circle-jerking it's demise. This was one of the reasons I wrote the post that included this mittani redirect under the heading What are your Eve goals - and I still subscribe to the fact that it is overkill, but what do you spend your in-game money on?

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

A high sec mission runner earns enough isk to slap a titans worth of isk into a raven and you demand null be nerfed?

A lot of jelly and butthurt in this thread. He bought the ship to use it and unlike 99% here can afford to do so.

Most likely another 3 or 4 accounts cancelled due to high sec ganking which translates to less bling in the CCP wallet. I wonder how much high sec ganking is really costing CCP and the game in general.

I'm not sure if you're serious, or if you're even playing the same game as the rest of us.

Isn't it great?

Also, he indicates that 'we the players' influence that market. Personally, I've never done any trade in those sorts of bling modules, so I've never had any influence whatsoever on their prices.

And? Doesn't make My Navy Scorp less efficient then That 44 billion ISK sh*t fit[, which was the only thing I was comparing, not the hulls themselves.

Just have to ask here...

Apparently the podded fella can afford to loose his ship, since he placed a 1 billion bounty on each of the (32?) players involved in ganking him. Does this not sum up to a value of 160 billion in bounty damage? I would say this gives the podded fella the final laugh...

If my pilot is certain to face death... I want full ramming speed towards the enemy ship...
