as long as you can't have carebear and pirate trained at the same time, I'm fine with this.

You mean, as long as you can block carebear skill permanently so you don't actually miss click it and add it to train queue?

exactly, you train pirate and the carebear skill is locked from you forever.

So, training one would take points of the other :D

We could have a base skill that is called "Skidzo" or "Multiple Personality DIsorder"
that would permit both.

For that special features (short "feats") could be implemented, they're a mix between Steam achievements and certificates that also give skill synergy bonueses.

in this special case two feats would have to be applied

1) A carebear at day...

Effect: Gives a 1% bonus to all weapon systems damage and damage appliccation stats as long as you're fighting NPC's.

Feat requirement: You've done at least 1000 Level 4 Missions, You've already acquired the "Carebear" Feat.

Flufftext: "Did you call pest control?"

2) But a pirate at night!

Effetc: Your extensive training allows you to apply the 1% bonus to weapon systems damage and damage application even when fighting other players.

Feat requirement: You've killed at least 1000 other players, You've already aquired the "heinous criminal" and the "A carebear at day..." feat.

Fluff text: "Drop your pruple gear and run!"
