The awox button for corps

I believe as a director there should be a way to turn off and on a friendly fire feature. This will probably end the awoxing craze of staying logged on and undocked.

The thought is a safety switch is built in for the corp much like your target switch, when switched to green your allowed to rep, remote sensor boost, and aid your corp mates but your guns and drones won't shoot, while on red you can put holes in their caskets.

Something to think about,
Criticism is welcome and thanks for reading

Hell no.
Get out carebear, this game is not for you.

It is an intended feature, don't let people you don't trust into your corp or deal with it.
End of discussion.

no Capsuleer would give up that level of control over their ship. New Eden is a dangerous place and conditions on the ground can change instantly. If your CEO or FC decides to betray you all by switching of your guns, you are royally ******. Hence the reason why no one will ever agree to this.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

But even then he can't kill you, your still able to kill war targets, and suspect players and neutrals all day long if you wish it, just no damage done to your corpees

The day the friendly fire option is switched off in corp someone might kill yes then.

I proposed this feature to eliminate the awoxers who stay logged in and undocked so you can't kick them from corp, its a corp option not an alliance one or an individual option.

Why not just change corp management to allow you to evict a player from the corp while they're in space?

This would go a long way to allowing corp directors to mitigate the effects of corp theft from a POS.

So what you're saying is that you need a new feature coded because you're so ******* scared of one person who can kill you any time he wants?

Good question. I imagine all the AWOX'ers would whine, and whine and whine...
Oh wait, it's because CCP likes to tailor EVE to these type of a**holes.

Not saying that, I'm saying for all the noobies and miners out there this is a viable option, I kill carebears for fun in this game, I just want to kill some more before the awoxer does.

^^ much simpler solution. EVE is about having the freedom to choose no matter what the consequences. However it kinda sucks when someone finds a way to evade those through game mechanics.

So your argument is because the freedom of will clause is in the game this should never happen?

But this option not only stops the awoxer, this also stops those who forget their drones or guns are active when being applied in a remote rep fight, its like a friend or for tag

And then konkordokkend.
Also kicking people from corporations while enemy is closing in on you when you are in space and can't defend yourself.

This opens corporations to all kinds of new abuse.
Corporations should continue to be a risk, I mean... CCP advertises EVE as such. I'd grimace if I was new to EVE because of an ad like that and when I come to the game it can no longer be done because some people complained too much.

Good thing CCP doesn't listen to everything we say or this game would be royally screwed.

Dear OP, I am afraid you do not understand EVE Online.

In order for you to achieve safety, you must work for it and gain it yourself. The ability for other people to kick over your sandcastle is a requirement for sandbox games.

Also, dry your tears and look what CCP themselves have said and advertised about the game, because they literally had an entire advert centered around the idea of infiltrating a corporation and destroying it from the inside. They used that specific ability as a selling point. Do you really think they will give you the ability to turn that off?

Biomass yourself and return to wow

Smells like bullshit to me, just undock and hunt your awoxer. Make him afraid and set a good example to your corp.

the button to turn off awoxing is the decline application button when an awoxer applies to join your corp.

enjoy.

Imaging your shooting at a war target, only to have it dropped from corp mid battle. What should happen there ?

Now imagine a corp that regularly leaves their safties on red or yellow. An AWOXer has got access to the kick member button. They arrange an OP with members moving stuff from ship to ship in space. Just before someone takes from another members can, that person gets kicked from corp. Between being kicked and noticing that they have been kicked, they take stuff from a corp members can. Since they aren't in corp, they just earned themselves a suspect flag. Now the 'neutrals' that were hanging around can freely shoot him.

Allowing people to change corps in space means other problems to solve. Flagging a member so they will be kicked the instant they log off or dock is a much better idea, as it means that you can kick the one kind of player who is unkickable under the current rules: Someone who only logs out for downtime, and manages to log on every day before the corp officers can log on and hit the kick button.

It would be very open to abuse which is why I suspect CCP hasn't done it. If you can be kicked in space it is not hard to work out all kinds of unpleasantness to inflict on people. As others above have touched on.
