Command Ship Model Changes, What Is The Current ETA???

As was stated in this post by CCP Fozzie many months ago (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=264775&find=unread), some command ships are getting model changes. My question is how long will these changes take to implement? As very little has been said about their current progress.

From what I saw it was still under consideration; nothing had been finalized yet, and there was a lot of disagreement about what ships would be proper recipients of changes.

Lots of people hated the idea of the Sleipnir becoming a Hurricane-class; many Absolution fans wanted to keep at least one ship that could continue to be the Laser Chicken; and there was a lot of divided opinion on whether the Nighthawk should remain a Ferox-class or convert to a Drake-class. I think the only change that had unambiguous support was changing the Eos to a Myrmidon-class hull.

At any rate, that's going to require extra work from the art team to update hulls to T2 standard; it's not like introducing the Navy BC's, which were by and large just re-skins of their T1 counterparts. So I wouldn't expect it before winter, or perhaps the spring point release.

Nope, even that one is contensious.

And I doubt anyone would want it switching if they'd just bring back the chin-waggler.

I remember fozzie saying they wouldnt do it unless they were going to change them all. A lot of people didnt want the sleipnir chaned into a t2 cane (why?!? Whats wrong with you people!?) so its kind of an all or nothing thing

The Myrmidon is the only BC hull used for just ONE ship, while the Brutix hull has FOUR incarnations.

And the Myrmidon is an old favourite of the community.

CCP justified NOT making a Navy Myrmidon because they thought armor tanking and hybrids better defined the Gallente "way", and probably didn't even think about making a Hybrid platform out of the Myrmidon hull.

But curiously enough, they had no qualms about making the Brutix a drone platform BC.

Come on CCP, the Eos is now worth flying and a Creodrone green Myrmidon would be universally well received.

CREODRONE GREEN?

Everyone saying it's green to the left, blue to the right - and whoever sticks to turquoise go into that corner. Now cover the left group :D

It's a most magnificent blue!

You do realize that when the Eos was introduced there was no Myrmidon to use, right?

I think most non-caldari pilots were draked-out about two days after they came out.

Drakes are the Prius of EVE online.

Owners just never shut up about them.

Way back when I trained into a Nighthawk at least partially to get out of the Drake hull. No kidding.

Yes, but when the Navy BC for the Gallente was implemented, there was indeed a Myrmidon hull.

They said "no Navy Myrmidon" because they didn't want it to be like the Ishtar or Navy Vexor. So they made a Hybrid platform.

BUT they COULD have used the Myrmidon hull for a Hybrid-based brawler, and they didn't. And they DID make a drone platform with the Brutix hull.

I'm talking about different "rules" or "criteria" for no reason. The Myrmidon hull should have more than one incarnation, as do all other BCs in the game.

Indeed this is asked for a long time now but I guess they have other priorities atm. Expect this to happen Soon™

the eos was a drone boat when I started playing in 2007, if I'm not mistaken the tier2 bcs were brand spanking new at that point, so the drone eos was a pretty old design. I really wanted to fly one back then, but it got nerfed hard before I ever had a chance.
